Even tho I am not interested in seeing Stevie my take on this is similar to the worry that myself and others had last year about Neil Young.

Alot of people were wondering if Neil was going to play alot from his latest album as he does whatever the heck he wants and there was no guarantee of getting a 'greatest hits' type set.

Turn out Neil played a blinder and a good hits set and all worries were immediately washed away.

I am torn I really am, part of me thinks given the glasto crowd and the right setlist, it will be blinding, but this video dosn't inspire me with confidence, plus you got Ash in tent or empire of the sun! (Both more to my tastes) There's no question his talent, but I could find myself a bit bored I think!

13 years ago Ash replaced a different Stevie W. as pyramid headliner and people apparently departed in droves in boredom at that prospect (no, i wasn't there, just going on what i heard), and now 13 yrs later when Ash have dropped into insignificance since their 97 height and a bit of a blip in '02, you have the choice between them and a far far more legendary Stevie W. and you're going to choose the belfast children?

am i the only one thinks the John Peel headliners this year are way down from last year's Crocker, Doves, Echo & The Bunnymen trio?

All you lot who don't think this will be anything other than a wonderful, epic Glastonbury set performed by a musical legend please don't bother packing out the Pyramid field making it more crowded for those of us who appreciate decent music.

Thanks, and enjoy yourselves.

In another thread someone advised me to watch coverage of SW at the O2. I did and knew that I would be happier elsewhere. For me he didnt sing enough, and way too much of that I sing a note you sing a note carry on, which some people adore but I can't stand.

For him to remain a legend in my mind I shall stick to the albums.

I'm very torn. The video has put me off. Not too keen on anyone else is the real reason for going to see him as well as 'legend' status. But we all know what happened with The Who.

It might just be the tosss of the coin on the night. But I'd hate to miss any guests coming on with him
