4AssedMonkey
There's lots I'd like to see this year but after last year I realise that just rushing between stages is not the way to do things at Glasto so this year I thought I'd filter things down to a few "must see" acts and go with the flow inbetween. Being cruel with myself, I'm down to 5 or 6 a day. I still think this is stretching it and doesn't allow enough time for bimbling, finding random good stuff you don't know and checking out the non-music stuff. I thought that 3 or maximum 4 per day on the main (by which I mean "biggest 10") stages would be about right. What does everyone else think? twig14
2 or 3 is about right, unless you have identical tastes with all your mates, or don't mind watching bands on your own. Which is fine, especially earlier in the day, but in my experience its the meeting up with people later part that can go wrong easily. I'm just preparing myself to accept missing all of the acts on my shortlist. That way I can go with the flow, put up with my friends' collective indecision, drunkeness and obstinacy and if I do catch someone I really want to see its a bonus. Plus I'll be armed with an encyclopedic knowledge of who's on where and what they sound like, and have full control over the car stereo and campsite speakers. So when someone says "there's not much on right now that I want to see" or "who's that?" or "that's a good name for a band, lets go see them" I'll be able to manipulate them to my way of thinking by saying something like "They're an N:Dubz covers band, we could watch them or we could go to West Holts and get some more Brothers..." just as Bonobo come on. Mwhahaha.
4AssedMonkey
Good point on the group thing. There's only 3 in our group but we're already splitting up for certain acts. I'd rather smear honey on my bits and f**k a beehive than sit through a U2 set and Matt's a big fan. Conversely, I won't miss Turin Brakes at the Acoustic for anything and my compadres think it's music to slit your wrists to. Doesn't bother us but trying to meet up afterwards, whilst drunk, in a crowd, when it's dark and loud. Hmmm tricky. Ah well. Just have to hook up with some strangers and get drunk and/or high. Sure it will be fine.

StoneCircle
We tend to miss more from our must see list then we see, simply get engrossed in something else and then realise what time it is, decide there is no way we will make it right across the site. Laugh at how rubbish we are and then go and find some other random thing to marvel! Three music sets a day is usually our absolute limit across all the stages. Where does the time go? xlxexaxnxnxex
on friday i'll be running around like a loon on friday, about 10 i want to see but most of those are on at the same time so thatll cut it right down. i'll be relaxing the rest of the weekend though, only 3 on the sat and sun
al_coholic
3 a day is really all I bank on, last year I planned to see loads, but in the end couldnt really be arsed and only saw a few bands, especially during the day, I tend to build myself up for a big night out each night and see more at night than during the day
disasterplan
Depends what you think constitutes 'must see'. For me, it's someone you will not miss, at any price. Sop I guess we're at the mercy of the timetable. Realistically, you want 2-3 definites and then a couple more on standby.

llcoolphil
Ive got Orbital and, er, that's about it. See what i find for the rest. 6 a day seems huge - I dont reckon I'll have 6 must sees at 5 festivals all summer!
ghandi
If its down to who "must be seen" over the whole weekend, then for me its Faithless followed by "i wouldn't want o be anywhere else in the world right now"...... Stevie Wonder, he is going to be epic!
In transit
I feel for people who only have Faithless and Orbital as must-sees are they going to have to madly rush from one to the other. Personally I'd break it down into days if that bands fit - Friday I don't mind rushing from band to band and drinking the whole time, Saturday is more about concentrating on a couple of acts and then Sunday is just about chilling. I realise that only works if the bands fit the schedule!
lizki
I've got 5-6 "must see" acts for the entire festival, followed by a "If i'm not doing anything special at this time, I'd also really like to see..." list I've been stricter with myself this year, as i never seem to do enough random ramblings

Felna
I tend to make a 'must see' list which decides how I navigate round the site, but inevitably I see something that interests me on the way between stages and it all goes out the window, last year I managed to see about 60% of what was on my list, but I saw a whole load of other things that I wouldn't have made time for otherwise. I've learnt over 20 years of festival going that if you become too inflexible in your plans you just wind up running about like a headless chicken and missing a lot more.
