By that newly crowned pop princess line, I'd say it's Marina and the Diamonds wouldn't you think? I really can't stand her music.

And the BBC Sound of 2010 Longlist artist - on the SSW Twitter it said, 'no words', so I'm going with Gold Panda who remixes samples. Good album.

Not sure on the other.

If that's it with names to be announced, it saddens me that this could well be my last Summer Sundae. With the loss of Phrased and Confused, the creeping commercialism of stuff like Gaymers's exclusive supply deal last year, a poor set of headliners last year and from this list a poor set this year, it aint representing value for money anymore - there are several better line ups already announced at other festivals for less money than we are getting here. Diane Vickers? dear god.

oh and for the record I'm more than happy with the bands announced. Friday's headliner is quality and whilst I'm expecting to be very disappointed with the sat & sun headliners(some other years I've only liked 1 outdoor headliner too like in 2008) I can see that the days will be filled with great stuff so that is hardly going to matter to me. It's a personal thing really. I will give my views on the headliners once announced though as it's no use me speculating at this point

    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
