  1. Thanks for all coming and braving the rain and enjoying the sunshine. Keep sending the comments. We'll be reading them and taking note of the key points for our festival debrief in September (recurring points re young drinkers, real ale tent etc) Enjoy the rest of your summer. NB somebody walked off with the E from our W E L C O M E sign!

    Mud ?

The site has held up quite well overnight. Just hoping we don't get too much of the wet stuff today. "mud" ok so far. Helped by the fact that it was sunny whilst we were building the site with all the heavy vehicles etc. fingers crossed !
  3. Weekend tickets now sold out. And Sunday sold out. Limited number of SATURDAY day tickets still available. Friday day tickets also available.
  4. Hi. We're pleased to announce that Sunday day tickets for Summer Sundae are now sold out. Some weekend tickets and Friday + Saturday day tickets still available. We expect weekend tickets to sell out in the next few days. Site report: All the tents/stages and fencing are now up. Beach arrives tomorrow morning.
  5. We're still compiling these off the messageboards up until Sunday.... We've had some great ones sent in by email.
  6. We're very pleased to announce that we have created a new series of bars for the outdoor festival site. With beautiful tents and some great new furniture you can now hang out at the Main Stage Bar at the top of the main arena, sup one of the 20 ales in the Real Ale Tent (still next to the Musician Stage, but now both are on Victoria Park), laugh yourself silly after a cocktail at the eFestivals Cabaret Stage, or get down at the Silent Disco in the Rising Stage Big Top, which now has its own bar too. Expect a great range of ales, cocktails and the usual bar fare all served with a smile and at the usual Summer Sundae prices.
  7. Hi Bartholomew, Glad you had a good time at Big Session. Just to clarify, you are stating that you obtained a "half price ticket" from the Council to attend Saturday at Big Session and then joined the messageboards at 8.15am on Sunday; subsequently posting hatchet job on the festivals to show your appreciation? Your email contains a whole number of untruths, which I am not going to reply in full to, but I will reply to some points: - I've returned to Herts (not London) with a handful of CDs. Would be good to know what act is claiming that they tried to give me a cd. Why don't they or you send a link? - I don't remember seeing many/any "London types" at Big Session. - The two festivals have a working group of individuals who have worked on the festivals over many years. Not a committee of "London types". Whatever you are inferring does not sound very complimentary. As for all the other information re djs, mcs, bars etc. I don't know where you are getting your information from, but it's full of a number of inaccuracies. So you know, I also know the people who run Phrased and Confused. I've known them for over 10 years. Needless to say I am upset by your comment. You may or may not know but I've worked on Summer Sundae for 10 years and Big Session for 6 years. As one of the founders of both festivals I don't think your assertion that I care only about the music holds water. So you know, Phrased and Confused received funding to present their stage at Summer Sundae in 2008 and 2009; that funding was not available this year. That's the sole reason they are not here. If you personally care so much about the festivals perhaps you should reveal why you have such an axe to grind at this moment? We've just produced a great weekend and you are intent on spreading a negative message. all the best Rob
  8. Teenage Fanclub will play mainstage penultimate on Friday night. Saw them recently at Camden Crawl and they were on excellent form. http://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/10/100519a.shtml
  9. ....and one more announcement for the Friday bill. This will come next week. promise you won't be disappointed.

  11. Hi. I've been trying to log in to add a comment, but that's not been possible, until now. I'll post the running order by tomorrow morning. A couple of points: Summer Sundae is 6000 capacity, Kendal Calling 8000. I personally think both festivals have got a great bill. Any festival with our restricted capacity is going to be only do so much with the budget available. We've received a number of "congratulations" from our "peer festivvals" on the bill. There are a number of festivals out there that would love to have our headliners. I think Mumford and Sons are a great coup for us. I hope that Summer Sundae is seen as a great bill of acts across 4 stages and 3 days. Taking a look at previous bills I think this one compares favourably with the balance of names and new faces. We could of course book less acts and spend more on headliners, but then we would be a different festival!
  12. I'll be posting the (almost) complete day by day listings tonight. Then let the debate begin.
  13. SORRY. Twitter twittered wrong. Junip is a UK festival exclusive NOT World. And Junip (featuring Jose Gonzalez) will play the Sunday afternoon. Not headline!
