Now put a glide in your stride and a dip in your hip and come on to the Mothership!

I take it this means Bootsy Collins as well as George Clinton? And how about Maceo/Pee Wee Ellis/Fred Wesley? I think I'm gonna have a funk attack! lol :P

:P

anyone who doesn't like any reggae, jazz, soul, flamenco or funk is just weird...

I know it's horses for courses an 'all, but no soul..? or jazz?... do you know how much musical ground jazz covers?

Have to mention Breakestra is great too. I'd assume Craig Charles Fantasy Funk band are also going to be playing this stage in one of the TBC slots.

i can't bare that jazz shit that like goes right through you. When it all sounds out of sync and tune.

Which is a bit like saying 'I don't like football because David Beckham's tattoos offend me' :P

I don't like the sort of Jazz you're referring to, but that's just a tiny, tiny aspect of what is a very important, hugely influential and vast genre of music.

Firstly, it was meant to be offensive - I thought that was obvious.

You should maybe read the general rules of posting on this site try and avoid that

Secondly, I didn't label ALL Radiohead fans as rascist, just the freaky, obsessive lunatics that moan about all music that isn't Radiohead. I would think of myself as a Radiohead fan, just not one of the scary, death-faced disciples that litter their concerts.

Never seen that at their concerts but I'll look the next time

So maybe you're right. Maybe there isn't a hatred of "black" origin music amongst these nutters, maybe they just hate all music. That would explain how they've managed to convince themselves that some of Radiohead's more recent albums were good and not the self-indulgent, guitar-based drivel they have, for the most part, actually been.

There isn't, which is why you shouldn't suggest it. The LOL smiley on the original post should have been a giveaway that what was being said was in fun. My attempt and not in any was a generic reply for Radiohead fans worldwide.

I'm also intrigued though. What if I did state that I think all Radiohead fans are rascist? What would actually happen to me? A bunch of dribbling, snotty, single, white males will send me nasty replies insisting they're not, whilst still stating they hate all the bands announced today without actually listening to them? I think I would cope but thanks for the warning!

You're right m8, I'll do that tonight when I get home .. that's the great thing about Spotify .... it introduces u to bands that you would not have given a chance to otherwise.

I don't think I've heard any of those but i'll defo give each 1 a listen too l8r, Spotify has been known to convert me in the past. :P

I'm sure Mr. eFestivals said yesterday that he had spoken to Emily earlier this week and it was a bigger announcement that was planned.

There's been not accurate info coming from some people (for whatever reasons, perhaps things got changed), but I'd also presumed that if they were announcing some (I was told 'some', not all) acts for West Holts then they'd be announcing a similar number for at least the Pyramid and Other Stages. It seems that presumption was wrong.
