Although the wrong festival I remember at a Reading Festival they kept playing "Stop Your Crying" by Spiritualized. It was a really hot, sunny festival and that song makes me think of all good festivals. Ironically, that festival wasn't one of them as the best thing about it was the fact that they kept playing "Stop You Crying" all the time!

Oh yeah, and Spiritualized weren't even playing!

Elbow - 2008 - end of set - sun going down.

"One day like this"

I walked to the front feeling so emotional as the crowd cleared - thought id wait for Hotchips set -Cath headed off to the park to see Artic Monkeys or something,i found loads of people in tears.

Got hugged by complete strangers - completely overwhelmed me.

Never forget that one.

Definitely never saw David Gray - but Babylon is one.

The other is oddly The Klaxons - Golden Sands - I absolutely cannot stand them but after 2007, every time I heard it I got really strong mud and rain flashbacks!

Gomez - whipping picadilly, sun going down, beautiful moment.

REM - It's the end of the world, '99 highlight, pure class to see my favourite band enjoying themselves so very, very much!

Orbital - Chimes. It just says glasto to me more than any other song.

Ash - Girl from mars, saw them play acoustic set on rainbow warrior, then tear-arsed over to pyramid to catch them again, heard it once in sunshine and once during a thunderstorm inside 2 hours, was perfect.

Prodigy - Invaders must die. I have no idea why a song I wasn't enamoured with before just made every hair stand on end and REALLY get into the performance, but it was my absolute highlight of '09

Weirdly a band that didn't play - Genesis by Justice bcos it woke me up every morning last year as the soundcheck on the Other Stage...didn't know the track but it was the soundtrack to a perfect Glasto

My first time last year and just a couple of moments:

1) Sat night , Jarvis closing song on his set " your in my eyes" ( disco song), just realising how bloody good this guy is!

2) wandering around on a glorious Sunday afternoon i went to the Avalon tent to see the Mummers and there closing number was " This is heaven ". It was an emotional summing up to the weekend for me.

Incidentally, where is the WINE BAR in relation to the site?

There are loads but one that still stands out is Politik !

Back in 02 I was not really a Coldplay fan , but we could not be arsed to move from the Pyramid after

Faithless.

If I remember right they walked on stage in the dark they kicked into the song ( which I am sure no one had heard before ) and then the strobes and white lights started going off.

I just stood there :P , , it took my breath away , and still makes me shudder now thinking about it.

It was my first Glasto last year, but I have watched the TV coverage for a number of years previously. I totally agree that Elbow - One Day Like This reminds me of their performance, it looked like one of those perfect moments, even from the sterile view of the BBC cameras. The other one is Faithless - We Come One, I bet that was amazing!

So many really, but here's a few:

Orbital - Chime

Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah

Levellers - One Way

Billy Bragg - Sexuality

Peter Gabriel - Solisbury Hill

Elastica - Connection

Crowded House - Weather With You

Fat Boy Slim - Praise you

Goldfrapp - Ooh La

...god I could go on forever! A good song at Glasto stays with me :P
