I actually can't see how he'll pull of headlining the Pyramid stage.

I realise how much of a legend he is and have much of his back catalogue but i just can't see how its going to work.

Maybe i'll be proved wrong...either way i'll be at Orbital.

Cue severe backlash...

i've said this before and it pains me to have to remind you all again, but...

... ASH have an exclusive agreement signed in the 90's to be the replacement act for ANY sunday pyramid headliner whose name derives from any form of "Stephen", and who might become ill, sick, allergic to muddy weather, or unable to can't sign final agreements with mr and ms eavis.

A further clause in the agreement also states that if they (Ash) have recorded at least 2 more #1 UK albums than the previously scheduled headliner, then as part of the arrangement they also get to choose the surprise 'special guest' to play the penultimate slot on the pyramid, first choice of which is Kula Shaker.

Maybe he can learn a few things from Orbital beforehand on the finer skills of loading a DAT tape and jumping up and down for ninety minutes?

Hey, I reckon you're being cruel.

They probably stopped using the DAT tapes years ago now, and instead simply bring a single digital device which doesn't need them going to the effort of slotting the tape into the player. :P

    • I didn't think I'd ever watched a Coben adaptation or read one of the original books, though turns out I did - I watched one called The Stranger back in 2020. Clearly didn't stick long in my memory as until researching it, I didn't know that was one of his. Queens Gambit or Black Mirror, it was not.    But clearly it's popular tripe in some respect if Netflix is going yes to everything he has to offer and are apparently about to start trying his most popular individual character, as seen below:   https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2026/jul/30/how-harlan-coben-became-the-king-of-potboiler-tv   Plus hey. Sometimes people get a kick from watching something and deriding it as crap. Don't let this internet rando stop you haha
