it's been nagging me over the last couple of weeks...

what's the latest that headliners have been announced..?

Not sure when the latest has been.

I don't think there's anything to worry about from what Michael said - it sounds like it's only really a case of the paperwork being done. He (essentially) said they have a verbal agreement.

I know that last year it was more than 6 weeks after efests had said who the headliners were before the paperwork for them all was completed. I don't know how much longer than 6 weeks it was tho, so it could have been quite a long while later.

Don't forget as well that (from what I've heard) Stevie is an act who wasn't being pursued initially - I'm 99.9% sure they were after the stones (and probably thought they'd got them) till shortly after the new year. So that means the Stevie situation is probably running something like 2 months behind the more normal situation for a headliner.

As I say, I don't think there's reason to worry.

Considering tickets haven't normally gone on sale until 1st April they are pretty ahead of themselves in terms of line up and preperation for the festival. I wouldn't expect anything much until end of april or may.

However I'm still wondering where the announcement promised back in Jan or Feb is actually going to make an appearance? Unless I missed something official?

That's a brilliant version, thanks Tugger.

Threre was some idiot on here who said that Stevie's sound might not go over too well on the main stage. I think this footage totally blows that idea out of the water ...

As long as he plays!

    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
    • A lot of people have said this online but does the Marvel world need new cities to play with? New York seems to be a target of all the villains to the point where you wonder why anyone in that world still lives there. Much as you can accuse me of overthinking it I guess haha.    I do agree that The Void is a compellingly different villain in many respects given the superpower is trapping people in their most traumatic memories. Shame in some respects the film came out in the post-Endgame funk Marvel seems stuck in and a lot of people missed out on it.    Speaking of, I rewatched Infinity War the other day. First time I think I've seen it since seeing it in the cinema on its opening day. Holds up pretty well imo - I have issues sometimes with ensemble casts and jumping between 4/5 storylines but it felt this one got the balance right and also properly explored Thanos. So it was good.
    • I didn't think I'd ever watched a Coben adaptation or read one of the original books, though turns out I did - I watched one called The Stranger back in 2020. Clearly didn't stick long in my memory as until researching it, I didn't know that was one of his. Queens Gambit or Black Mirror, it was not.    But clearly it's popular tripe in some respect if Netflix is going yes to everything he has to offer and are apparently about to start trying his most popular individual character, as seen below:   https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2026/jul/30/how-harlan-coben-became-the-king-of-potboiler-tv   Plus hey. Sometimes people get a kick from watching something and deriding it as crap. Don't let this internet rando stop you haha
