We just walked past a load of semi full restaurants containing genuinely miserable looking couples. It looked so depressing it was funny.

So i got a set of various soup like products in a neat little gift set for my girlfriend and a daft sweet box full of dib dabs and things.

She'll love it.

I spent Valentines day eating so much that I could barely move. All in all it was a good day.

I was going to book a table, but then I thought I'd better check with the missus.

My girlfriend plays quite a bit of netball, so I got her tickets to see England v Australia at the o2 next week. To be honest, I was going to get them anyway regardless of Valentines but she liked the gesture.

All the Valentines 3 course Dinners laid on locally at all the Gastropubs in my area were shockingly expensive! Was just looking out of interest and there wasnt one that was under £30! One place was £45!!!

I'm not bitter about it, although it would be nice to be spoilt or to have a nice suprise!

I dislike Valentine's day. Yes, it is because I'm bitter. The only time I've ever not been alone for V-day was a few years back, when I went to the cinema with all my mates and then we went back to one of their houses and spent the afternoon playing on the Wii. We don't do such things anymore because they're all in relationships, and off at uni at other ends of the country.

So I have to sit back and watch everyone I know get all loved up. And I dislike it.

On the plus side, I reckon it saves an awful lot of money being single for Valentine's day.

I do like the valentines chocolates.

I love chocolate, and a big box of thorntons, or lindt, or galaxy or whatever would really light my candle
