Bu**er who the hell is voting to keep these things!!!! I'm all for banning them in front of the stage but not from the camping sites as there's not a hope in hell of me finding my tent without mine.

No, keep the flags (209 votes) * 54.57%

Yes, ban the flags (174 votes) * 45.43%

Because Glastonbury isn't about people been told what they can and can't do, are good for finding your mates, and look great.

Oh and don't relay on still being able to get them in the Campsite as you may be stopped from bringing them in.

10 pages...here's my honest opinion.....

If you like flags you're a f**king idiot...I have never laughed or even smiled at one in my life..you ruined so many acts for me last me

It's not about having rules and being fascists it's about letting other people further back see the stage, (particularly younger children etc)..

1. Stop allowing people to sell them

2. Keep them by the camping area

3. You can't 'ban' them from the main stages but you could put it in the program and mention it online etc: 'please understand that due to the blocking of the view for others, flags are not recommended in the main stages crowds - please consider others around you'....

Has anyone got a photo from last year of the flags completely obstructing the view of the stage? I remember seeing one on another thread somewhere but can't find it.

I didn't vote. Simply as there is no mid-way option of simply requesting people to be considerate and think about people behind them.

What happened to common sense and consideration?

sizist are we? :P

i don't see why they would be showing the crowd on the screens either. when i said, if you're that far back, watch the screen; i was meaning to see the band, cos you can hardly see them from a distance.

    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
    • Second go.....    Still f**king fantastic - Well done WIlliam Orbit -  Bugman & Trimm Trabb mega tracks - No Distance Left To Run hauntingly Beautiful
