Aww do you have to....had enough of your jammy working that festival last year...talk about rubbin ya nose in it....ticket in fed for what a whole 3 hours work ...jammy indeed!!!

If you actually do WORK there this year I'll fill the application out for you :P:lol::lol:

Ian says I'm being harsh...but when I think of Perth Person up at crack of dawn litter picking and then during the day doing her stunt...I think its only fair and justified...Hence reason why I dont work festies so I can do what you did there...stay up all night partying n dying the next day

Folks,

After what will be the usual madness of this years TITP I am probably going to do Wickerman as a second festival and looking forward to the more chilled out atmosphere it looks to have. Have never been before but quite fancy it from reviews I have read.

However main point of the post is that I am also planning to take my 9 year old son and this will be his first ever festival. Now I can stand and watch any number of bands all day long, doesn't really matter who is playing IMO, but obviously that won't be a 9 year olds ideal day all day long.

Reviews have said this is a good family and children friendly festival so can anyone who has been before tell me what exactly they have on to keep kids entertained please? Just any general information on what will keep him interested in between seeing the odd band would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi Crowie,

We take our son with us he's 10 and he has great time at Wickerman the childrens area is great with lots for them to do however it closes early eveing giving the kids time to see the headliners with no arguing. We normally camp with the efests crew and know of a couple of other families coming with kids .

One thing though our son cottoned on to the fact that you can either pay each time you go into the kids area or pay for a festival band which enables entry all weekend at a hugely discounted rate.

Hi all im considering making my first ever trip to Wickerman and wondered if you could help me with some questions?

Firstly how quickly does the happy bus from glasgow sell out? Trying to round up troops to come with me and worried i wont be able to get to the bloody place.

Also whats the crowd like? Typically friendly?
