Love it... My dad did that in the late 80's in Dixons over a video recorder... I died a death... He did actually get a £10 off though  Think it was the display model though rolleyes.gif

Actually, shops like Currys, Dixons etc are somewhere were I would defo try and get some money off - I think because of the slump certainly, they were looking to get things moving and would give you decent discounts or deals at the time.

I don't know what kind of hotel Phillipsteak works in, but I certainly have got a money off when I stayed at the Grovesnor on Park Lane in London when just walking off the street looking for a room before now. Think it was £20 plus breakfast total discount, or something like that, after a gig at Hyde Park and we didn't fancy the trek home.

Got fifty euros off when buying wife christmas present of necklace at my mum's favourite jewellers in Cyprus at Christmas, plus my dad's cufflinks thrown in too, total bill 250 euros instead off three fifty.

Don't ask - don't get.

I'm thinking about throwing my computer at someone at work, some twat of an arsehole who's paid over £80k+ a year sent me a shitty email going "blah, blah, blah I can't do this report my team does for me and it's your fault for expecting it me to do it" so I write a overly nice email (to avoid me calling him a useless c**t) back explaining what he needs to do and ultimately it's his responsibility and not his team's so it needs to get done and sends back "That's not very helpful!"

How the f**k do these people get so far in life?

Yup, I'm with everybody on this. Cyclist's who go through pedestrian crossings pisses me off no end. Is it just a london thing or is it everywhere?

Cyclists are can be such self-righteous pricks. They think they're above the law just because they don't pollute. Well f**k you cyclists!!

Barely a more satisfying sight than seeing a policeman pulling one over.

    • Kind of crackers how fast this summer seems to be sailing by. But aye, must be some news soon!
    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.

    • Liddle: "Drop a small nuclear bomb on Glastonbury to immediately remove from our country almost everybody who is hugely annoying.”   Farage: Free speech!    Polanski: accepts a collaboration on 20 innocuous looking set of photos on instagram but doesn't notice that one that says 'making plans for Nigel' with a guillotine image.   Farage: I expect the MET police to arrest him.
    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
