Why is there 'No chance'? Have they ruled it out or have Glastonbury? I'm only asking because I've not seen anything.

maybe "no chance" was a little strong. I'd put the chances at less than 1% though, given what people "in the know" have been saying.

Of course, I pray I am wrong as they would be utterly wonderful.

Neil said a while back they are expected to be a UK exclusive for Leeds/Reading i think. I really hope they do play glasto but id imagine next year is more likely.

Actually, I never said anything like that as far as I can remember. I said they looked like being a UK exclusive to a particular fest (which I don't think I named) - but was meaning Bestival.

However, that post of Rob's (which I hunted down) implies that R/L has them as an exclusive (I know they're defo doing R/L). And that makes sense - I've been lead to understand that R/L now consider exclusivity to be high on their list of wants for their headline acts.

You've made the mistake of thinking of that Ireland was anywhere in my head when I wrote that - it wasn't.

I wrote that on the basis that Arcade Fire might well also be playing T in the Park (as they've been confirmed for Oxegen).

Have you been taking chippiness classes off other inhabitants of these islands?
