Musicals.

I have just been challenged by my flippant 17 year old daughter because I was sat watching "Paint your Wagon" just now, and enjoying a box of chocolates. She stated in no uncertain terms "God Dad, how gay can you get, I noticed your closet door was open, I am glad you are out at last". I will not post my reply.

Now I have been known to enjoy a musical with the "Wizard of Oz" been a firm favourite along with Oliver, but I prefer the ballet myself.

I can't be the only one that enjoys a good musical.

I f**king HATE musicals. I don't think they're gay as such, just shite. (Unless we're going back to that tedious discussion about whether saying the word 'gay' in a negative way is homophobic, but I digress).

They're annoying, they're irritaing and they seem to scream to me (quite literally) 'we can't act well enough to be a proper actor, but we can't sing well enough to be in a band either, so let's ruin this scene by singing a vomit-enducing ballad'.

Musicals suck.

Blood Brothers is the best musical I've ever seen. The Lion King was impressive with all the effects and everything, but for one to get me all emotional, it's got to be Blood Brothers!!

"Living on the never never, constant as the changing weather, never suuuuuuuuuure, who's at the dooooooooor, or the price, I'll have to paaaaaaaaay".

Get's me every time.

I have a fairly major dislike of musicals. My sister has always been obsessed with them, and that why she ended up going in to acting. Every weekend she'd watch either the sound of music or the king and I. The worst of all though is Annie - there's a reason you were orphaned you f#cking whining brat!

I don't think you are homosexual if you do watch them though.
