Bat for Lashes (so good, I want round 2)

Hello Folks, I'm new around these parts so be gentle with me :D

I'm an 11 time glasto vet and the one band I would LOVE to see perform at Glasto is......wait for it... Iron Maiden...Think about it, Iron Maiden always put on a hell of a show and I just don't think the likes of Coldplay/Killers/Kings of Leon etc would suffice for the 40th aniversery, yes I know that Download exists to cater for the heavier side of things but I reckon a bit of "eavying up" would spice up Glasto a bit. if they can Cater for the likes of Jay Z and Kanye then I reckon that Maiden would be equally valid.

While We're at it lets get the Wildhearts and Therapy? on the bill too, I'm not trying to sugest that Glasto should go "Mega Metal" or anything but I think it could do with throwing a handfull of heavier bands in the mix.

Opinions?

Nice to see a few shouts for Frank Turner, doesn't seem like two minutes since there were about 30 people at his shows so yeah:

Frank Turner

Florence & The Machine

Duran Duran

The National

The Decemberists

Friendly Fires

Hot Chip

Justice (in a tent)

Kid Harpoom

Super Furry Animals

Bruce Springsteen - this used to be my fantasy wish every year :D

Unless Mr Barat has a massive change of mind there's absolutely no chance of The Libertines

    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.

    • Knocked Loose have been announced for Wacken, that's them at Bloodstock as well   I think they'd headline over Malev
    • I hate tradmill running with a passion lol. Yeah the 1km reps are the one along with hill reps. That's what I did last time.  It's very a very hot summer and job circumstances to stay at the consistent level I was for the marathon earlier in the year. I've got a full set of the main distance new PBs this year. 10k isn't a problem most days but even today I went out deciding just over 5 mile was enough between recovery cruise and steady.
    • There is also a solid argument from Seventeen already that not enough people actually care if they book them also.
