Kidz Field

I've heard that you get kicked out if you haven't got children with you? Just that me and my friend quite fancy watching Bodger & Badger in 2010.

Also, don't suppose you can take beer in to the Kidz Field? :)

You certainly shouldn't get kicked out of you don't have kidz with you - the Kidz Field is open to children of all ages, from zero to 115. :)

I'm not sure if beer is allowed or not, but you shouldn't go into the Kidz Field if steaming drunk, that's not fair on the kidz there.

Me and Fairy In Boots had a right good wander round the Kidz field this year without kidz and wasn't a problem at all - was amazed at how much they had going on in there and joined in with a couple of bits of stuff. Don't think I was carrying a drink but dont think it would have been a problem anyway. As neil says, going in if your hammered would be a bit unfair though.

Love the kidz field and been in many a time with a can of strongbow in my hand, though as others have said, never steaming drunk. I spent three hours at make and do in 2008!!

i have been asked this year and in the past if i have a child in the kidz field when going back in after popping out for "a smoke" so yes they do ask sometimes.

I suspect that's the result of the staff on the gate having worked at other festivals where different rules applied.

Tony who runs the Kidz Field has worked very hard to keep it a space for children of all ages. Some other festivals have had imposed on them by utterly stupid councils rules where only parents/guardians with kids are allowed in their kids areas, which has resulted in aunties and grannies not being allowed into the kids area with the kids they're responsible for.

One day we might get over the stupid paranoia about paedos that has invaded society and which has some people thinking that there's one around every corner just waiting to snatch your kid, yet if you are taking care of your kid then your kid cannot come to any harm. Further, it's not randoms that are the biggest risk to any kid but its parents and family contacts - but those strangely paranoid morons would rather not believe that the people they know are the biggest threat to their child's safety.

They should maybe make it clearer? I didnt venture in there for years because I thought you had to have a kid with you. How pleased I was when it turned out you didnt and I finally got to see B&B in 08. Was one of my all time Glasto highlights! And to be honest...there are nearly always twice as many adults watcing B&B than there are kids and they are often quite squiffy!

To go in there steaming is not recommended but I do suggest having a couple of vodkas in you to get the guts to go and sit in the audiences for things such as the puppet performances and be able to heckle but in a polite way!

I didn't know you weren't allowed in without a child either though I've never found the time to go despite bodger and badger being on offer.

I assume you aren't allowed to go on the helter skelter though  Also has the ferris wheel been in thr festival recently?
