Just wondering who people think we should have in the Sunday afternoon slot. I thought this year Tom jones was one of the highlights of my Glastonbury,

Personally I would love to see Rod Stewart doing it, Maggie May on a sunday afternoon would be great

he was AWFUL when he played in 2002 (or was it 2003?).

But he - or rather his manager or someone to do with his manager - gave me a huge number of laughs before the fest, making posts pretending to be lots of different people who all thought Rod would be fantastic. Now I think about it, I'm not sure that anyone else posted anything similar.

Beforehand I planned to give Rod three songs before deciding whether to watch any more, as (much with Bruce this year) I didn't think I'd ever be somewhere to see him again.

But after two dreadful songs he then said for the third "I dedicate this one to our boys fighting overseas" or something. I legged it (and amusingly enough, bumped into friends doing the exact same for the exact same reason ).

Sunday afternoon slots have to be filled by warm 'cuddly' types who give everyone a nice warm feeling, so it has to be one of the following for me (who haven't played before):

Diana Ross,

David Cassidy / The Partridge Family,

Barry Manilow,

Donny Osmond / The Osmonds

Jackson 4 (if they're on the cash in trail)

Cliff Richard / The Shadows,

Bucks Fizz,

Hollies,

Gerry and the Pacemakers

etc......
