Low ticket sales wasn't to do with hip-hop, it was the fact that not many UK festivalgoers are fans of (specifically) Jay-z. Kanye West and Eminem have a lot more mainstream popularity in this country.

Hip-Hop/Rap is to be honest, not my bag, but I have no problem with it being at Glastonbury or a headliner (pyrimid/other). If it don't grab my fancy at the time, there are plenty of other things to see/do so I don't have a problem with it, and don't see why the fans of Hip-Hop/Rap should miss out on seeing their heros up there with the best 'usual suspects' headliners.

There are plenty of people (many of which are GF veterans and have a good idea of the spirit of the festival) who want to watch hip-hop acts. So why not book them?
