dance music

am i the only one on here that will be spending 'most' of their time at the dance music stages (east, west, g, dance lounge, pussy parlure, glade, arcadia & trash city)?

this will be my 6th glasto, but every year i have mostly seen bands perform. this year i have really gotten back into dance music again and know what beats my dancing shoes will be moving to.

am i alone?

Gotta say the lineup for the dance village etc is really f**king strong this year. I reckon I'll be splitting my time between stages in order to catch some.

I do tend to spend most of my time at glasto in dance village as thats what Im mostly into, but I do like some guitarry bands too.

However, the main reason I normally do this is usually I go to Reading festival as well, and a lot of the guitar based bands I want to see at glasto also playing Reading, however this year I am also going to creamfields, where there is some duplication of the dance village line up, so this year it is going to be a lot more mixed up, going to various stages. I'm gonna be cream crackered whatever I go and see, thats for sure!

the line up for most of the dance stages are amazing. so happy with them that i just cnt friken wait. i am not even going to go clubbing from now till glasto so that i fully appreciate it.

the arcadia stage and trash city shall be flippin tip top. my avourite dj/remixer 'lee mortimer' is playing the arcadia stage on friday night. plus cagedbaby in trash city on thursday night will be one hell of a booty shakin' opener to the weekend for me - and i advise you all to do the same.

I’ve always been heavily into dance music but never really bother with the dance stages at Glastonbury. Personally I don’t find going to see a DJ/act in the dance village to be massively removed from going to see a local unknown DJ in a local (Bristol) club, whereas the gulf between going to watch a local band and someone on one of the main stages is absolutely huge.

Basically, I could replicate the experience of being in the dance village a lot more easily than that of being in front of the Pyramid/Other, etc!

I missed their Cafe last year, a great place for a cuppa, a chill and some civilised cake between rave ups of any particular variety.

yeah a lot are at both but, big names like peaches, 2 many djs, MJ Cole, chase & status, filthy dukes are at glasto and not at glasto, plus glasto has a 3D silent disco to boot

I'm with you. Going to be spending more time in the Dance area than I have for years. Normally see a lot of bands, but the dance line-up is looking gooood this year!

Whoever made the final decision to ditch the big old Dance Tent and start the Dance Village has really revitalised dance music at Glasto. It's awesome this year! Well done that man (Or woman)

the dance village line up this year can easily stand up against any of the dance festivals. and then you have everything else Glasto has to offer.

Afghan Headspin are where it's at this year for FAT bass lines!

They are playin Thursday at 10pm in the Pussy Parlour and they are gonna blow the roof off!

They are doin a DJ set but playin mosty their own stuff. They are playin Glade this year too!
