I for one am glad that Glasto are being progressive with festival transport options - clearly despite the huge distances, flying about the festival is not environmentally friendly, and after the tragic plane crashes in Shangri-La and Trash City it's good to have a safer option too. I must admit to being horrified last year to see people dancing on top of the wreckage in Trash City, don't these people have any respect?

This thread makes me smile

I have fond memories of the monorail, but when I think I got off the stop before the crash it still sends shivers down my spine. Thank God for my unhealthy addiction to Brothers cider making me get off and leg it to the bar.

I'm not sure that the Monorail will be as popular this year now they've agreed the new 4x4 service to pick you up from the car park and drive you up to your camping spot. I reckon that will be the best £25 I'll spend at the festival this year.

Not so sure about the £10 tent erection service though as I still prefer to do that myself.

I've heard the Green Police are significantly boosting their ranks this year as their remit extends from nabbing people who piss in the hedges.

Word is they are building a multi-occupancy rickshaw lane along the old railway. Anyone could walking on it or cycling alone will be severely reprimanded.

Any grain of truth in what I hear about the Hill Of Death Funicular Railway?

I am hoping they will have completed it this year as the monorail can't be extended to go off site due to the turnstile gates. This is our first time in the campervan fields as we have always camped in the past. I will be watching progress on the webcam!!!
