just got my tickets for bestival today 4 of us heading over! what time do the bands start and end etc.

does anything go on in the evening or is it just back to the campsite when the last band finishes?

I am dithering and it's driving me mad, myself and my girlfriend ( both never been to bestival ) are in a position to book but we have three friends who aren't 100% yet. Not sure if to just sod them and get ours regardless haha

What are the Bestival people like with their Alcohol rule (the one that said we couldn't bring too much in or something)

What's the general atmosphere like? are people over all friendly? is it the young trendy types that always look like they're gonna kill you when you dance too much...?

Main stage is on aroun 1pm -12am, but stuff going on till around 4am

Finally got some tickets for this after dithering around trying to get a mate to sort us out some discounted tickets. Must say this is perhaps the best line-up for a summer fest i've seen this year, potentially the best i've ever been to. cannot wait.

Mate and i are sketching out fancy dress designs tonight...

How big is the main stage? in comparison to other festivals like Reading...

I can't quite believe Soulwax are playing on the main stage, I've only seen them in enclosed spaces so this should be insane.

Can someone tell me if the complete festival schedule will be published online before the festival begins?

If someone's curious, I made a list of some of the bands who will play on saturday (I'm there only on saturday, so haven't made a list for the other days...)

They've tightened it up a bit... it used to be 2 crates and you were allowed to take beer into the arena... that was 2007... but yeah it's to do with the licensing restrictions and the amount of cash that the breweries offer them...

Am sure that will be fine, but as with most festivals you won't get much choice on camping spot but I guess would be fine with a reasonable sized tent.
