2009/10 - Park side of Pennards 2011 - Green Fields side of Pennards 2013/14/15 - Silver Hayes side of Oxlyers 2016/17/19 Railway side of Oxlyers Right next to the path in all of those. The Green Fields side of Pennards was my favourite in some ways, but you can’t beat Oxlyers for convenience. We’ve got groups coming separately who all know the spot now so it’s not really worth moving. It’s nice and familiar too.

We’re driving from London this year rather than overnight coach, is there any way you can ensure you end up in the West Car Park rather than East? Or will you just get funnelled one way or the other?

This has to happen. The tour dates line up.

For the record, it was 2013 when this started happening. Mumford and Sons on the Pyramid that night so we didn’t miss out on much.

Proud to say I was there waiting for Daft Punk with thousands of others. Someone came on stage to tell us nobody else was playing but we weren’t falling for that!

It was slow to get going, not helped by Barney seeming to have a go at the crowd for not being into it. All in all it felt like everyone on stage and off was slightly disappointed.

Something else by the same guys. I don’t think it’ll be a massive change but I’ll see what more I can find out.

We tried to get an earlier one once, but they said no and put us into a pen for the one we’d booked about 2 hours later. In the end I think we did get on one earlier than booked, but it wasn’t just a rock up and get on the first one situation.

You can’t really tell how many people are trying from sell out times. If there are (for example) 10k tickets available and it takes 20 minutes to process that 10k sales, it doesn’t matter whether it’s 10k or 10mil people trying for tickets, it’ll still take 20 minutes to sell out. The only way it would take longer is if there were less than 10k people trying. (I think?)

Leon Bridges feels like an odd choice for a headliner. He’s fine, perfectly enjoyable for an afternoon, but would many people choose him as a headliner?

I very nearly said Saturday. It probably is the best day, but on Thursday you have the excitement for the upcoming weekend as well as the great day. As the festival gets better the excitement for what’s to come diminishes, and I reckon this cross section graph peaks Friday night.

It is not. You can only buy two and they have to get the same coach.

No, but it wasn’t a hits set either. Looking back, it’s a good setlist, it’s just that most the songs weren’t out yet. I guess if you think most the crowd won’t know your songs, you might as well play ones nobody would know anyway.

Obviously they’re a bit big for their ideal early afternoon set, but is there a specific reason they’re being assumed to headline somewhere? Sunset at West Holts feels the ideal place to put them.

If Burna Boy is popular with people who hang out at Silver Hayes all day, that’s a very good argument for him having a Silver Hayes-level slot.

Honey Moon are mates of mine, great melodic indie pop with a nice bit of brass in there.

I’ve seen the “secret” Rabbit Hole queue get up to about 100m, kinda ruins any potential fun of a secret area.
