  1. Same. I stayed for a while after someone came on stage to announce that nobody else was playing and we should all leave. Can’t remember if I did end up seeing an actual headliner or not.
  2. “Some punters” 👋
  3. A post from @GeezLouise in another thread made me think. Has a secret set ever happened without even being billed as anything. Like no “Special Guest”, no pseudonym, just an artist showing up when nobody else was meant to be on stage and playing.
  4. The Streets over Beyoncé. Sea Power over Neil Young. The Streets was billed as their last ever tour. I was only 19 for the Neil Young mistake, I did catch the last half hour but there’s really no excuse, good as Sea Power are.
  5. Is that really what you think happened? You think all the people in this thread are the same person except you and Neil?
  6. Neil once accused me of being in league with the trolls too. Never understood why. Don’t worry @Matt42, even completely insignificant occasional posters like me can end up on the wrong end of this!
  7. I was worried I was gonna fuck up and do one that had already been done. But I didn’t, it’s HMS Sweet Charity!
  8. N.E.R.D also did a secret set on the Pyramid I think?
  9. I’ve been to 9 and would describe myself as “a bit of a veteran”. I feel like you’d have to have been before it was on TV to fully qualify.
  10. Assuming you mean on the hill rather than on the map, I’m lower than the Park Stage.
  11. It’s not an outside venue but the rest is correct!
  12. I think Spike is north of the railway line too, which is how I got it! Guess my stage then.
  13. Funkingham Palace and Rabbit Hole answers were jokes by a guy who works there. I’ve never heard of The Yard (or Basketball Court) either. And a very specific capacity, is that a joke too?

There’s really no shady background or industry planting going on here. They were signed by a large indie label because the label liked them, then they got the kind of backing you’d expect them to get, which is not nothing but is no guarantee of success. A lot of people at Domino are also pretty surprised it’s gone this well, but they’ve obviously connected with people and good for them.
