Agree on the dnb. I’m not a fan, so wandering round the SE Corner is often just trying to find anywhere that isn’t playing dnb.

That wasn’t a secret either. There’s no precedent for an artist of MCRs size doing a secret set in SE corner, especially when they’re not at the festival already. I can’t even think of the last time a non-DJ played a secret set in the SE corner? (Except Toots, which was only because they were late for their scheduled slot)

I did this for some friends one year too, but they didn’t understand/forgot we weren’t taking the entire tent and left the inside part at home. Then we all had a big argument and fell out for the weekend. Just make sure they fully understand the plan, that’s my advice.

I did think that, but the Rabbit Hole, Piano Bar and NYC Downlow queues continue unabated.

Would be weird to introduce the Wormhole, have it be so popular there are consistently massive queues, then get rid of it the next year.

Looks like portait size screens on the Pyramid this year to me. I hope they don’t do full wraparound because the stage is iconic in itself. Doing that on the Other though could create a double main stage festival in the future. If you take away the front part of Oxlyers camping it could make the capacity similar too. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it go that way considering the 6 headliner standard some festivals go now. In some ways I’d like that, but I also camp in the bit of Oxlyers I’m talking about getting rid of, so that’d be a shame.

I wouldn’t. Would be a bit shit if the likes of Parcels are getting turned down so that Foals can play twice.

When you say “a lot of the assumptions are wrong”, could they just mean that they read someone’s full prediction and lots of it wasn’t right? Cos that doesn’t particularly throw a spanner in the works, we know it’s mostly guesswork.

You’re kind of right, in 2010 it was in the SE corner, but I don’t think the queuing system for there came into effect until 2011? Arcadia moved out of the SE corner after 2010 anyway so there hasn’t been a queuing system there since then, if there ever was.
