  1. My wish list would be.. Pulp Gaga Groove Armada The Shins Baby Queen
  2. We stayed in the tipis a few years and loved it, especially the location and the showers. We had a bit of rain in one year but told reception and they came and adjusted the tipi hat thing and all was well. We always fitted 6 people in, single airbeds around the edges with loads of space in the middle. Would definitely do it again, I thought they were nearly impossible to bag these days so hadn’t considered it.
  3. Discovered Self Esteem at the start of the year and ended up in her top 1% of listeners. Haven’t listened that much really this year, usually when I’m out running, surprised the list isn’t more dance oriented because of that.
  4. I’m looking forward to revisiting Mexican Seoul (really amazing tacos) and Bayou (who I actually discovered at Camp Bestival this year but I’m pleased to see they were at Glastonbury too). Also the arancini place on the run down into west holts from green fields. I haven’t had the joy of the crumble shack so far so that’s top of my list too.
  5. Thats amazing, I knew about the housing project but I didn’t realise they’d done so much other stuff.
  6. I was camped up by the farm in recycle crew camping and it did seem unusually loud one night, Sunday I think.. fully expected the sound levels to drop a bit at some point and become background noise but it was loud and clear all night.. I suspect that was San Remo.
  7. Anyone else attend the meeting online? It was interesting, nice to hear there’s a working party looking at drugs testing on site, the loop were mentioned. The overcrowding at Arcadia and Williams green was discussed and residents complains heard about the noise.. though the noise levels weren’t beached significantly it seems. The council officers seemed confident the recommendations in the scrutiny report would give GFL areas to focus on for 2023 but there was an acknowledgment that it was a process of continual improvement as the festival evolves year to year and new issues mean new tweaks to how it’s managed and they aren’t likely to get it spot on every year. There were lots of positive comments about how well run it was and the amount of collaboration in the multi agency group who oversee it. Don’t think anyone from GFL spoke though I think there were representatives there.
  8. Love this! Thanks for putting it together 🙂
  9. We sorted two more groups of friends today, despite some traumas with payment pages not progressing. Then managed to get some other friends sorted after 10am. Feeling very grateful.
  10. Sites definitely up and working, we’re getting groups submitted via the 250000 link..
  11. The Wednesday coach link posted on here this week worked dead on 6pm for me, just luck I guess, using chrome with just one tab open. I was stunned to see it appear so quickly! This is after years of never seeing the booking page.
  12. There probably will be, but not sure what it is yet.. someone might know based on previous years what it’s likely to be.
  13. Got straight in at 6pm on the Coach ticket wednesday link some very kind people had posted on here.. weirdly 3 of our group also had booking forms up straight away, one completed and submitted and we're sorted. Unbelievable.. I haven't even seen a booking form for years! SO excited! Hope to see lots more happy efesters posting here in the next half hour..
  14. I went to see her at her at Sheffield Octagon earlier in the year after friends raved over her previous Leadmill gig.. I wasn’t massively into the album at that point.. I was blown away by her live show.. I’ve never heard a crowd scream as loud or as long as they did at that gig, she gets a lot of love in Sheffield. Now I’ve listened to PP to death and started revisiting Slow Club which mostly passed me by somehow other than a couple of singles. I saw her twice at Glastonbury and seeing her again soon at Camp Bestival Shropshire.. really excited to see what happens next for her. She’s also hilarious.

    Volunteering 2023

I’ve worked for Oxfam, Water Aid and Recycling Crew .. loved all of them and would happily work for any of them again. It’s a great way to do the festival. I got a place a week before the festival with Oxfam in 2019 so my advice would be to never give up hope. If you’re determined you’ll get there.
  16. I’m hoping to get tickets to Abba for my birthday. The reviews are pretty amazing.
  17. I had the pork belly tacos from there twice they were absolutely amazing! The wrap place next door was fantastic too. I also loved the arancini place up by the crossroads top of west holts, their pesto arancini was unbelievably tasty.
  18. I ended up at the front for most of the sets I saw which I’ve never done before, surprisingly easy to get a spot on the barrier. My regret is not seeing more bands, I saw all my must see’s but somehow seem to take it a bit easy the rest of the time and didn’t see many of the other bands I’d wanted to catch. Partly because I was up at 5.30am for my shifts and was fairly tired from Friday onwards, but also I faffed about trekking miles out of my way to go to specific food stalls I’d fallen in love with and silly things like that. Also regret not finding the optimum time to queue for NYC Downlow - it’s my favourite place on site and every time I went it was queuing up past the railway track. I wish I’d found the magical time when the queue wasn’t huge. I ended up not making it in there (other than to litter pick in there Friday morning 😞 ). Same for Funkingham palace.. was determined to get in there this year but the queue was always massive and I never found the right time.
  19. Another vote for Erasure (why have they never played?!). Also, maybe a bit niche, but one of my favourites - Voice of the Beehive .. they’re a lot of fun live.
  20. Just watched some of the Charlie XCX set (I hadn’t seen it live) quite sad to see the amount of miming going on. On Gone she’s just singing tiny sections and letting the backing track fill in the gaps. It doesn’t feel right to have such an over reliance on backing tracks for the lead vocal. I'm going to have to go and look up what overdubbing is compared to miming if that’s what Billie’s set had. It looked to me like she was miming some songs when I was watching live, she shouted something like “get that vocal track out of there, why is that even playing?” on one track. Didn’t think Neil from PSB was miming tho, he had some backing vocals for odd bits with vocal effects (like Heart) but you can hear weaker bits of vocal and slightly duff notes here and there.
  21. I still loved the gig despite not being able to see Neil much.. the lights, lasers and sound were all amazing. Interesting that Self Esteem was rumoured to be doing Dustys part.. that would’ve been the cherry on the cake for me after Ollie already making an appearance.
  22. Was there something wrong with the camera feeds during most of the set? What was being shown on the side screens looked like it was mainly coming from the mixing desk cameras which were hamper by flags (and mr blobby) until the encore when we seemed to get better shots from the pit cameras etc. It kind of detracted from the experience a bit I thought. Not being able to see Neil clearly at all until the end. Obviously was fine on the BBC feed all along.
  23. Self Esteem getting a lot of love here and Olivia Rodrigo. Lots of comments about how amazing the festival looked this year..
  24. So glad he made it 🙂 looks like they had fun 🤩
