  1. Yes. Sometimes the script is a bit ummm... not very believable (last episode: low skilled police work ...) but it's still very enjoyable (last episode: the mega cliffhanger at the end).
  2. I never regretted missing a big chunk of Portishead in 2013 when she played, a couple of decades after I obsessed over the live version of Fire on Babylon on a Lilith fair CD...
  3. Well 3 years without going was a bit too much. Couldn't know... (I may be getting my years wrong but anyway, passed on one year then we had the COVID years)
  4. That's what I thought when not trying for the resale in...2019...
  5. I'll start stressing a bit when the details are known, time and method. Hopefully October as will be travelling in November too. And I am still traumatized by the last resale with the new payment rules .
  6. We do this to, unless there's a storm threatening to throw trees on us, gives an opportunity to chat as well. I force myself to go out for lunch to do whatever errand I can think of, podcast or music in ears. Yesterday it was just buying handsoap. And just like that it's a 20 mn walk. Unfortunately my hip problem is back. Started before Glasto, stopped and came back. Add to this a heatwave and I haven't been running since early June. Getting better but not ready for running impact... So this week I decided that instead of cycling back from work (5mn), I would do a longer route of about half an hour whenever the schedule worked out. Unfortunately yesterday I took a wrong turn and ended up on a path that got sandier and sandier as I progressed with no way out :P. An hour further and I was back home with burning legs AND arms from trying to stay on the bike :D. Am going later, but this time knowing what the correct route is :D.
  7. Which reminds me... Severance? ....Ok not: "once the writer's strike ends".
  8. Yes but far too much good TV? I am half tempted with trying something crazy like Yellowstone. Something I would have ignored because of my amazing * cough * taste but is actually enjoyable.
  9. Oh me too! One episode to go though. Worst/" best" villain this year. Horrific is the right word. Watching the bear season 2. FInished Never have I ever season 4, first more as a " let's finish this" but season 4 was really better than s2 and 3. Next in the pipeline is the new season of The Afterparty. I am wondering what the US TV offer will be in the next months... Time to dig further on offers from the rest of the world. Hopefully Pachinko season 2... And I hope they managed to finish For all mankind before the strike (if not it's fine, right to strike and all ๐Ÿ™‚ )

    The 1975

I have issues with Malaysia being called a backwards country in the previous post, having myself along with gay colleagues worked in Malaysia (in a kind of don't ask/don't tell thing/we all know but don't discuss/ special bars only mood). I'm thinking the PDA thing he did has a special significance in Asia as well. Anyway. Why cancel Taiwan is what I don't get? Anyone knows?

    CMAT

She did a track at the BBC studio but it just didn't have the "ooomph" the show had. As a side note I have a massive crush on her band. Must be the outfits.

    CMAT

I've been thinking this almost daily since the festival...
  13. What did you do this year that you've never done before? Saw a show at Astrolabe Saw an evening performance at the circus tent (there's a theme there) A nice sunset from the Glastonbury sign. I think I may have gone before but without seeing a nice one. Not super exciting but I never walked through the south west campgrounds before, now I did What you have yet to cross off your Glastonbury to-do list? Rabbit hole... Sneaking in the kids areas

    Grit in the eye

Just a note to all of the people who had eye issues at Gabriels that part 2 of the Angels and Queens album has 5 tracks from this year's glastonbury set!
  15. Woodsies. So basically totally missed it ๐Ÿ˜ž
  16. Same ๐Ÿ™‚ I am enjoying this and supporting you all! And trying to find key information that may be useful in the future. I do find it interesting that mobile data seems to work better ? Or am I imagining this?
  17. If this was Sunday afternoon at Sensation Seekers I was one of the10 ๐Ÿ™‚ Not the full show though. You got to admire the fact that he does work for his ticket, even in front of 10 people!
  18. New PJ Harvey is out today!
  19. I read that and had to think about it when Mantra of the Cosmos appeared!
  20. Right, after three weeks of no sport, due to various ailments, glastonbury, glastonbury flu, I went for a run yesterday. I thought my condition was bad until I realised that I was running faster than my normal pace. So a 5k at a high pace is not a bad place to come back to! Other half and I have started one of those plank challenges too, because it seems that our bellies strangely grew during the festival. The crumble shack, the cake hole and Vegan Fried chicken may have been involved. But hey when you walk half a marathon a day 4 meals a day is normal isn't it? ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Volunteering 2023

Is there a kind of reserve stewards list? As in one doesn't show up so they can dispatch a new one?
  22. Pretenders. For those gutted about Rick Astley/Blossoms, yes but: where we were it was such a bit singalong that we barely could hear the music. Which is fun but I wouldn't have been able to tell you if it sounded good or not.
  23. This. A lot of company play on that guilt. That "do it for your colleagues" thing. The company has its share of the responsibility. Slightly related, I am sure a lot of the below members of the audiences will bring home some part of this festival. (If you don't want tot see the whole thing, forward to 2.30. Grab a tissue too.
  24. As a (current) EU citizen at the fest then, there was a (thin) silver lining in seeing how people cared about it...
