  1. Ordered some photochromic glasses. I can't wear contacts for long and am very short sighted, and I am just too lazy to switch between regular and sunglasses.
  2. 27. Need to go back to study I guess...
  3. That's a perfect glasto prep I have to say!
  4. So are you going to wait to see what they put on top of the Pyramid so that you can have the same?
  5. Rub your face with cat kibbles. Does wonders! 😛 Talked to a guy yesterday who lost about what you lost in a couple of years because the doc saw he was pre-diabetic. What he did? Started going for a walk instead of crashing on the couch and stopped drinking sodas.
  6. Yes 🙂 Found it at the same price (but in Euros, which explain why the sports masseur in the Wirral may be a bit tricky for me to visit) Well actually I half followed @Kalopsia's advice: I don't have a bathtub but found some magnesium massage oil. So kitty's gettingbelly rubbed with massage oil while I am enjoying the scent of catfood on my tired legs. I dug out the cat leash we have somewhere and he is coming with for a 5 k at lunch too.
  7. It's called Specific. I already checked online for an alternative supply. Massaging does help (I have a roll and a few other foam tools, and I am indeed considering a massage gun but I don't know if they're that worth it?
  8. He was always on Royal Canin " light" but now indeed on a real weight reduction thing (vet's brand). I gave up a bit understanding how he eats, so now it's the low range of kibble weight for weight reduction, split in two meals. He begs a bit but I think it's more because he links food to attention. It seems it's more complicated to deal with pet weight loss than human 😛 I have " knots" about halfway the muscle, and it's radiating to the knee and hip a bit. Totally fine when the muscles are warm. It started not because of running but because I had to lift heavy stuff two weeks ago, and did that with proper squats instead of killing my back. But overdid the squatting instead. I am just postponing going to the physio because he's a dryneedling freak and I know how much that's going to hurt really. That's neat! always annoying to try and keep the regular pads in place at the right spot!
  9. Thanks, I am understanding quite fast that rest is more important than following the schedule if my body gives me signals!
  10. Actually I'd like to ask this thread's "pro" runners how they care for their quads, as I have a sore one recently. The usual heel on bum stretch? Bit of massage? Straight after running?
  11. I am upping his exercise by throwing kibbles for him to catch. I am wondering how many calories the activity "scratching the couch" burns. Maybe we should let him do that after all.
  12. it IS actually lower carb 🙂. I was going through the description/ingredients and joked we could sell that to some keto folks 😛 But for cats it quite makes sense. Interestingly enough, he was getting "light" kibbles before but the vet checked and the difference with another brand of light was 20%!
  13. At least good motivation not to say "I lost the weight now I don't need to care anymore"! As a side note the vet just put my cat on a diet, so that he doesn't get diabetic. I shall now update you on his weight loss progress 😛 . Startpoint: 7 kilos. 60g of diet kibbles a day.
  14. Big congrats @philipsteak! So officially speaking where are you at with the diabetes thing? (jogged 6 km today, halfway to the "not overweight BMI by Glasto" thing)
  15. Greenpeace's. Watching Power Ballad Yoga / joining it and eating after if on time. Or a nice curry of some kind.
  16. That reminds me I need to head over to read the probably 100s of new theories fan had after this episode :P. Side note: Lynskey/Shaune and hubby are really not great criminal masterminds... DNA and fingerprints everywhere when getting rid of evidence, not properly checking other attempt to remove evidence. Bit too easy writers!
  17. Looks like they have decent stuff in North America, like Terrapin, but Europe doesn't go further than Blue Moon. Or a London brewery called Hop Stuff which doesn't ring a bell...? Edited to add Sharps brewery. Looks like they are proud to have a hazy IPA...
  18. The season 1 of the recap at the beginning of the new episode was dense. Almost needed to pause it to take it in.
  19. I have those plastic compression packing bags that you get the air off by rolling them. Less space, waterproof. Better than packing cubes IMO. I've never travelled without in the past 20 years, festival or other travels.
  20. By car we tend to book a late afternoon ferry to Dunkerque (like 5pm) that allows to take an earlier or later one. With Dunkerque that's still two hours apart, but in general we caught the slightly earlier one. Happened as well that we were 15 minutes late. Dunkerque because it's less busy/less risk of random issues in Calais and because closer to Belgium and the southern side of the Netherlands where I live. The downside of driving is that we tend to be exhausted on Monday and there were a couple of times where this combined with peak time traffic on Belgian highways... well let's say it would be almost safer to drink while intoxicated. This year it's 9 am coach to London and Eurostar at 6 pm. Which I am pretty sure (crossing fingers) is more than enough time. Basically you never know and it depends on how many people are in your group. If there are enough people to take turns in driving and you are not too far East/North in Belgium then ferry is good. If you are close to train stations, then Eurostar is more relaxing. Depends as well if you bring all your gear of if you got pre-erected camping. If you have some time to kill, read the "International Contingent" thread. It's not too far back in active threads. Or DM me!
  21. Coach or car always relatively up early on Monday, 6/7ish, because we have to cross the Channel and don't want to miss the train or ferry . This usually ends up in an excruciating long wait at a train or ferry station, wishing we booked an earlier one and wondering if it's worth spending money rebooking. Tuesday always off work, I wouldn't even be able to pretend to be working from home.
  22. That first epi was a transition to season 2 I guess. I so knew what was going to happen to that ear. And don't f*ck with Juliette Lewis YEAH! GO GIRL! It's otherwise quiet on the TV front here. I'm looking forward to Somebody Somewhere starting again... And started a french spy show called Totems that seems decent.
  23. Thanks for lowering my expectations for Yellowjackets 🙂 Watched the new Succession. Love having the bros and sis together.
  24. It's nice because you can stretch your legs ! As in horizontally because legs get quite a vertical stretch during the day.
