Ok if you're a Levellers groupie and not into late night stuff. We found it a bit meh. It had all the requisite bits of a festival but no soul.

We’ve been to the last 5 or 6 festivals and love it. Easily our favourite, Glastonbury aside). The kids are really friendly to us old bar stewards. Love the toil trees for seeing acts as I can get up close if I want with no problem. Sound is excellent. Got an extra day this year too s it’s opening on the Thursday.

One of our rock n roll habits, to stave off the midnight slump, is a visit to the bus for tea and toast. Works a treat. A sit for the bones, rehydrate and carbs, plan the next moves. Then its off for another few hours of fun. Works every time.

Just be kind to yourself and don’t expect to achieve much in the coming few days. Eat well, remember the good times and bank those memories.

Take your bag off your back when in a tight crowd. As a shorty I was constantly having to swerve being beaten about the head with backpacks as the owner bobbed about.

That would explain why they closed the villagers gate at Mary’s gate that night. We went to leave and had to go through blue gate instead. No volunteer or security knew why it was shut or for how long ( or they weren’t letting on).

I would like to thank all those who made sacrifices prior to the festival. What an extraordinary effort as the gods were obviously pleased and gave us our reward. NFR NFC see you in 2023

Most villagers come in through Mary’s gate. We had to have a pass out and it was checked each morning. They didn’t bother tugging the wristbands this year which they normally do.

Thank you everyone for your messages. They mean a lot. Wasn't sure for awhile if we were talking to the animals for 3 weeks. I really hope you have a great time at the fete.
