  1. Past hour
  2. And make sure you take a mug on shift. Tea/coffee runs aren't 100% guaranteed but there's nothing worse than them turning up and that one poor sod who didn't bring a mug having to watch everyone else have a lovely cuppa. Especially at 3 in the morning. Don't be that one poor sod.
  3. We will see when the new map comes out. But I would suggest the left hand holt farm pic is probably a bit of an embelishment. I dont think there is any space for SL parking on the other side of the road.
  4. Hi. Im just checking that the walk from the bus drop off through the carparks to PGD is definitely doable. No fences stopping you getting from the drop off through to the car parks and on to PGD. Thanks.
  5. Having just looked at the map, Yep, you're right! 🙂
  6. Some of em can be a bit of a pain to find, but you can always ask any nearby member of staff where the staff bar is - and while typically they'll tend to let in any worker it can be a bit limited at times to 'this area's workers only' if its particularly busy (and the theatre bar are very snotty, they wont let in anyone without a t+c pass) but generally its just a matter of strolling right in. I like the Arcadia bar (tow and hitch) cos they have sofas and pizza, and the broken britain in unfairground is decent too - i think maceos is the most popular but its all a bit DJ's/dance music for me
  7. So we've got a mark & Me Presents TBA early afternoon in the Forest on Thursday, another early on the Friday, a late Afternoon in the Neu on Saturday and a Frank Turner Q&A and solo set early afternoon on Saturday. Am I missing any? Any thoughts? Would absolutely kill for one of them to be another Hot Mully or Los Campesinos set so that it resolves that awful clash. Could maybe see it being a Mingle Harde set. They don't often have the TBAs be bands that aren't already there, so maybe a Death From Above set? Or Creeper?
  8. I'd say it does depend to an extent how hot you need the water. The catering urns in the marquee which dispense water that varies between lukewarm and reasonably hot, depending on how long it was since they were last refilled, but anything higher than that you'll need to arrange for yourself.

    UK Politics

My own flying for pleasure covered less than a decade. My business flying slightly longer and I ditched a job cos I didn't want to fly. You need to own your own doings including your liking to invent bullshit, it absolves you of nothing and adds liar to your bad.
  10. Would be kind of funny in a very very dark way if Susan Hall ended up winning.
  11. Love Fields, rather than Campervan East. But yeah, point is valid that they'd now struggle to find suitable space even if they thought it was a good idea.
  12. I’d go for up in trees next to Woodsies, when it’s nighttime and the paths and steps are all light up with fairy lights. ❤️ and the next day do a hand fasting ceremony in the healing fields ❤️❤️
  13. Not at all, but you have to make choices. I had no chance of a final ticket and already had one for the festival. I could have left the festival, got a taxi to a pub, probably be surrounded by people who want them to lose, (as it turned out) watch them lose, get a taxi back. Or, I could keep tabs on the score while watching Robert Plant. Maybe it comes from supporting a team that frequently reached European finals.
  14. Channel One and Dubkasm for me!
  15. Amazing thank you! Hot water urns will definitely make life easier. Trying to pack light so if I'm leaving the stove at home, there's definitely space for a cool box instead! I've already got reusable cutlery/thermos flask on my list of things to bring 🙂 Love stroopwafels too and bet they go down a treat with a hot drink on a night shift. Don't mind an awkward spot for my tent but would rather avoid being near the loos, another reason to get down on the Monday I guess haha. What's the crack with crew bars/toilets around site, how do I know where these are and can you access them all or is it dependent on who you're volunteering/working with?
  16. Man, I got smashed at the footy. With the result, wish I'd watched Slash & Ray Davies.
  17. and then they say sh*t like this...idiots.
  18. still chance for arcadia to pull something out the bag - but as you said its all pretty samesy across the festival - there was a period on the saturday night last year (if memory serves) when I was in SEC and every single stage just had DnB and jungle at same time - I used to love the different vibes each stage gave off. The tree stage was really good last year I thought - glade on the late thursday night was another highlight
  19. Shock result in London on the way...Khan's team are worried apparently...? BET NOW!
  20. Mulling this over. Already bought a parking pass though and will be coming in from the east, parking in Blue as usual. Seems like it would make more sense to drive around and park in one of the other car parks, save schlepping our gubbins all across the festival to Holt. What's your experience of parking on the west side (is it Orange/Yellow/Pink?). We'll be arriving Weds morning, leaving early Monday morn. Heard the tailbacks can be nastier on the west than the east.
  21. That off the cuff remark early on about witholding water and aid hasn't been forgotten
  22. Yeah easily enough to win the areas' seats at the general election. People have forgotten what an achievement it would be to get the 13% swing for a small majority in the next election. A 17% swing is massive.
  23. yes, there was an independent bloke who campaigned on the Gaza issue. It's a problem for Labour...Starmer f**ked up although I do have some sympathy over this but then I would...and I think the damage is done now.
