Need some back up

Our friend is coming to his first Glasto this year and although he is the loveliest fellow you could meet he only wants to take trainers for foot wear.

Of course there will be NFR NFC but could you guys just give me a bit of back up with my 'you must take some decent footwear or your ankles will throb until 2025' argument.

It would be much appreciated.

Thank you see you all very soon, I will be the one with a shoeless friend trying to get some decent foot wear from welly henge.

I have been for a few years, went with willies for the first few years, but now I am a firm walking boot convert! (Once you have worn them in!)

Obviously there will a heat wave and we will be happy wondering round in trainers, however, tell you buddy to have a more practical pair of something, just in case.

#teamwalkingboots :-)

Yes willies are impractical!

If you can carry them encourage him to take both wellies and trainers

If it gets wet and very muddy wellies, or a good pair of boots make getting round the site so much easier. With just trainers you might cope for an hour but not all day

If its looking good weather wise stick the wellies in the first lock up you find, and have them as an insurance policy
