Maybe Avril Lavigne? Been mentioned a few years running now. 

 Avril is who they need to go for, good undercard might be enough to shell out. It's costing more than the LP day for Download which is utter madness.

Me too. Someone i know grabbed tickets the day before to north for £40 a pop, you ain't getting that at South.

I think Weezer is a great shout. I think The Offspring might be a bit out of reach now as well. 

 

They are out of reach but I'm sure they did an arena tour nefore 2023 show. I don't see Weezer touring here next year but that wouldn't interest me now.

Rancid has to happen at some point surely. They are the perfect punk headliner for SD. 

 

Turnstile would be rad. It's definitely time for them to come back.

The Offspring played arenas but with nowhere near the success of the last tour. I don't doubt they'll fall a bit again but until then, they'll be out of reach.

 

Shikari are playing arenas too. And selling an amount of tickets that would suggest festivals like this are their level.

Im still of the belief that shikari will be one of the headliners for 2000trees next year rather than slammy

I think you’re probably looking at one of these 3. I do think Turnstile will finally be  at Download next year though so it’s between ATL & PTV, maybe both but not sure either suit the heavier stage if they go the same way.

Wondering if Hayley Williams might turn up here as a sub maybe for ATL (she hinted at coming back to Europe at the Roundhouse the other day). Someone like Ice Nine Kills to sub Architects maybe?

Even if she dropped hints about coming back at the Roundhouse, she is hardly going to do a solo slot at a mid tier pop punk festival after Paramore have just been filling stadiums opening for Taylor Swift. On the other hand, Ice Nine Kills subbing for Architects on the heavy stage is a proper banger and totally realistic. If Architects and All Time Low end up topping the bill, tickets are going to absolutely fly out.

It's total wishful thinking, i presume she'll just do a bigger room next year, I also just couldn't think of a sub I fancied for All Time Low 😄

I wouldn't book them, and I would like to think they wouldn't either. But I do wonder how persona non grata Brand New are.

 

Their UK tour sold well, and they are doing a run of Devil and God anniversary shows at the end of the year.

The only festival bookers in the country who would touch them are Bloodstock imo but genre wise they don't fit there. Think anything they do in the UK going forward will just be their own shows.

      Spring (or early) next year now.   Says to me that the album is/was delayed. I've done some digging but not had anything beyond that.

      Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy

      The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.

      Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.

      I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
