They'd be an awful choice of headliner. Would attract a load of knobheads as well.

Tbf I think Download would at least know how to mosh to Turnstile unlike their recent shows which definitely attracted for a lack of a better term "normies"

The people at their recent gigs and their Glasto set would be buying day tickets to see them at Download and ruining the whole weekend for people who'd normally buy tickets to Download. They'd be an absolute awful choice to headline. Not because there a bad band but because of the crowd they'd attract.

There are loads of us who go regularly to Download that have gone to see Turnstile.

I don't think they'd headline at the moment, but they would be a great choice near the top of the bill and hopefully get to the point where they can headline.

I mean you've been suggesting that the Maiden bill with The Darkness, Airborne, The Hu and The Almighty is better than what Download has which just about says it all.

I think it could happen. They are doing BITS now. They’d have to headline second stage as it is; with another year of big shows under their belts, I could see them subbing.

I'm not saying that people who go to Download haven't been to see Turnstile. I'm saying you don't want the other people who attend Turnstile gigs at Download, it would completely ruin the weekend.

Genuine question; what kind of people do you think are turning up to Turnstile shows? Oasis fans? I can assure you, the kind of normies attending Turnstile shows are more likely to just stand and watch than they are to start scrapping strangers.

Tens of thousand of people motionlessly standing and staring into space, what a brilliant atmosphere that will make for.

You’ve just said you “don’t attend gigs or festivals full stop” so I’m confused at what the issue is? No band on the planet would get everyone moving a festival because not everyone will like every band on the lineup.

I can still have an opinion on what sort of atmosphere they will create. Whilst not every band will get everybody moving, their own fans standing around like lemons would create an awful atmosphere.

It’s not going to be that, though. Yes, there would be normies but Download is already full of people who would turn out to see Turnstile. Despite what some seem to think, they are very much still a hardcore band. Anyone who has seen them recently can tell you that. They played  middle section in their set that was just songs from their Step 2 Rhythm EP.

Block, report and move on. Just as the moderator said we should for anyone disrupting things

Gone through the lineup again and sorted the acts I’d see into three categories:

MUST SEE

Limp Bizkit, Bad Omens, Cypress Hill, Trivium, Electric Callboy, Mastodon, Cavalera, Kublai Khan TX, letlive, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Drain

WANT TO SEE

Behemoth, Blood Incantation, Imminence, P.O.D, Boundaries, Decapitated, Gatecreeper, Elder, Nasty, Silent Planet, Spineshank

WOULD SEE

The All-American Rejects, Feeder, Static-X, Paleface, Periphery, Social Distortion, Thornhill, Corrosion of Conformity, Snot, unpeople

This might be the strongest first announcement for me (2023 is close).

Bizkit will give it a good go!

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
