This would be so much better if The Streets were pushed onto the Thursday. Funny though how I was told a while ago that Reytons will only ever play 2nd from bottom on a bill highest and here we are from 3rd down Victorious to headlining Y Not in two years.

They're local, with a very loyal S Yorks following

1st time coming here, got tickets for all the family, I used to festival in the 90s and 00s. SO very excited for a good range of music. From what has been suggested. I was quietly hoping for the Streets, been listening to Original Pirate Material since it came out. And didn't buy Leeds tickets. Libertines? Great but bit of a surprise given Babyshambles are touring. If they do I will go down early on the Thursday to set up tents 🙂 TDCC I used to listen, happy indie, and the Reytons? I know they are local but I don't know a single song, I would be surprised to see them headline as with TDCC. But they can only get who they get I suppose.

Now Happy Mondays, my wife will be pleased. I was hoping Ash might be there for her too.

V much excited to get festivalling again

Plenty of time to get into The Reytons! The beauty of booking up a festival. Get em on your playlist between now and then and you’ll be rocking out by July. Great band by the way. Number 1 album has to say something about em right? Welcome back to festivals. You’ll love YNot.

Sure, just it seems a big jump fo them. Had a listen, they sound like Artic Monkeys, which arn't my cup of team tbh. I saw them headline Leeds but left to watch someone else. I will have to listen some more

I would say there is an element of them sounding similar to Monkeys second album yes with less good vocal thought so if thats not your deal then likely not for you. I live Arctic Monkeys and they aren't as high on a euro festival I'm looking at which is more ideal.

We were going to give Y Not a go this year after many years of kendal but the headliners and personal circumstances mean that we will most likely not go.

I am in the process of trying to list the tickets on tixl but, for anyone who ends up wanting to go, we will have the following at Tier 1 prices available.

2x adult camping + paradise peaks + thursday entry

2x children <5 + paradise peaks + thursday entry

Premium parking.

All at Tier 1 rather than Tier 4 or whatever they will be on friday.

Send me a message if interested and, once on tixl, I'l let you know

Surely all of these is too much for Y Not. Although they all fit, I'd expect to see a fair few on there somewhere.

That's a fairly decent Thurs

It is. I think Y Not beats Truck with Scissor Sisters while still getting The Enemy, TDCC and The Vaccines. Apart from We Are Scientists and The Cribs who I've seen plenty is actually wins out of the 3 announced quite comfortably

Yeah, Scissor Sisters is a big draw and negates the need to buy a headline ticket for them elsewhere. They were superb supporting Pet Shop Boys this year.

    • Either or. They both play the same venues.

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
