Part of the first 24.

Nothing much for me there, ones I would be interested in are already at Primavera (Gorillaz and Ethel Cain).

Still open for The Cure on the Wednesday.

Yeah as far as announcements go that's as bad as it gets for me. Every one of those other 23 can stay clear of Werchter lol

To be honest, I have never heard of the majority. So difficult to comment if I would like or not.

Thats the beauty of these festivals, discovered some wonderful acts on the primavera lineup already.

If Sziget will really end up not happening, this will be my alternative. Not fuzzed about this announcement, as I literally will be seeing Gorillaz in London the week before, but the festival intrigues me. Always wanted to go. I'm sure next announcements will be better.

don't know a single act beside Gorillaz.. anything instresting?

If The Cure are in I wonder why they will wait for second announcnment.

not the start I was hoping for but like every lineup I've seen so far need to wait for next announcements

Really like Ethel Cain.

First got into her on the Mitzki day at all points east in 2024. Certainly worth your time to check out.

Very similar, not just about the acts but all the other stuff.

Its Sziget without the guaranteed hot weather.

Do you think the Cure may actually be playing? What would be the point of holding them back? Especially when you consider so many European festivals are releasing early... Would've made sense to announce Gorillaz and the Cure surely.... Was so excited for thsi announcement and was quite sure I'd be going if they had a few I was expecting, but now I'm not sure at all...

Roskilde do it a bit differently, non profit festival so its not just about cash. Roskilde is one of those fests, where the lineup isnt the main criteria.

Charlie XCX was pretty much everywhere last summer, didn't get announced as headliner until April.

I still think The Cure will be announced, no Denmark date and there schedule ties in with roskilde.

Agree with this! Saw her multiple times, the last one being a week ago. She's great and the production of this tour is also well done

right, I see...

I saw you say it's like Sziget, but without the guaranteed good weather.. How so? I went to Sziget a good few years ago now and it was a pretty cool place. There were rave parties on all night, lots of cool and quirky areas.. Is Roskilde similar in that way?

Yes pretty much, although the Roskilde crowd party harder than the Sziget crowd.

Aswell as all off the other stuff going on like theatre, talks and all that jazz. Length of festival as well, i love long festivals. Mix of ages also, which is also varied. Depends if you are into that at a festival, or just lineups.

If I wasn't going to Primavera next year, it would of been Roskilde.

Out of all the festivals ive been to my top 3 would be. They are all the same type of festival imo. People go no matter of the lineup.

The Cure will be headlining scandi festivals in August so they might be an option for Syd for Solen as well. They usually share artists with Oya and WOW.

p.s.

Syd for Solen actually started selling early birds today and for 24 hours only with the next tier being out on 7th of November so announcement must be coming pretty soon.

Can't see them playing 3 days out of 4, in different countries. That goes against there current schedule.

Thats why im thinking the Wednesday at Roskilde.

okay thanks mate... Yeah I do wanna go here. I just want a few really good acts and some decent undercard bands and I'm in. Today's announcement really disappointed me though!

Folk Bitch Trio is excellent.

Every year people are disappointed by Roskildes first announcment. They don't do it like most other festilvals and announce the headliners first, they seem to just announce some of the names that will be playing randomly.

When would you guess the second announcement will arrive? That will tell me more I think (hope!)

There's no set pattern. 2024 (for 2025) was end of Nov, 2023 (for 2024) was end of January.

Foo Fighters heavily rumoured for summer fests, the release if those dates may be an indication if they were playing.

There doesn't seem to many surprises headliner wise  for festivals next summer

I'm 90% sure The Cure will be at

Roskilde on 1st July as people have suggested.

It makes sense with their schedule and they have a long standing relationship with the festival as they seem to do it every time they do a Euro fest tour.

I am a bit surprised they weren't announced but Roskilde do things a bit differently with their batch announcements.

Unlike most festivals, Sziget and Glasto have camping all over the festival, it’s a big ecosystem living all together which i think really works well.

If i’m correct Roskilde is like most other festivals with the campsite and festival area separated?
we both seem to love sziget and glasto for the same reasons, how do you think i’d resonate with the camping stuff at roskilde compared to the two?
