Also there is a new wave of acts dropping on the 20th of March

Friday announcement is a bit unusual. Let’s start to see things in it which are obviously delusional.

You know it’s delusional because I would love it.

I suspect the announcement is going to be all the EDM stuff but, if not, I'd like to add in the following delusional suggestions.

Wunderhorse, Geese, Lily Allen, Nxdia and Purple Disco Machine please.

https://electriccastle.ro/ Electric Castle in Romania in July has the Cure, Wet Leg and a lot of others on the wishlist. Aside from 21P, not too much overlap, at least from the headliners. And, Kneecap can travel to Rominia, it seems?

I think Kneecap are banned from Hungary until 2028

I know it's on the website but have they actually teased the announcement on email or socials? I can't seem to see anything.

Lack of communication makes me think they screwed up something again.

Do you thing the 3:55 is specific to anyone/anything?

If it’s a specific song, Greyhound by Swedish House Mafia is exactly 3:55 long. It would fit as we are expecting and EDM headliner, but ‘Grime incoming’ might make this guess wrong

For grime I would love to see Skepta maybe even EsDeeKid for the banter

just thinking press play - could be referencing headphones on Addison Rae?

Bro EsDeeKid would be insane and it ain't unreal, same with Ken Carson they both will be on fm4 on 21-22 august so there is a chance and they are both really popular now

But another thing, untold has holy priest now so there might be a chance for that as well however its just few days before sziget

Surely it will be one of Stormzy/Skepta/Dave /Central Cee

Would be very happy with Stormzy or Dave.

Would be very unhappy with Central Cee 🤣

And I realise I'm in the minority with this one, but Skepta would be.........a wasted booking imho. Sorry!

Stormzy is not doing shows this year.

my guess is Skepta or Dave since they’re already doing EU festivals in August.

Dizzee Rascal is grime as well

Dave is headlining Reading and Leeds so that would make sense. However, his sound has evolved to a point where I'd say he's moved on from grime.

What's his level of fame in Europe though?

In Hungary it's about 0. I think he'd only come if he's do it on the cheap, as a sub or lower, so he can grow his audience outside the UK. But I can't see him coming.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
