Monday - JADE and Olivia Rodrigo

Tuesday - Damiano David

Friday - Benson Boone and Linkin Park

Saturday - Central Cee

Sunday - Tiesto

Monday - Troye Sivan and Tate McRae or Sabrina

I hope we don't have 2 days break mid festival.

Personally think 2025 sziget edition was way more interesting than last years, with pretty good choice of rising fresh names, but the trend that organizers try to make sziget profitable again suggest me a weaker and/or even more edm focused (means cheaper) festival next year..

I feel like they can’t cheap out on good headliners and interesting names if they want to be profitable…

Tried to come up with a realistic 6. It was difficult as I don't know much about the latest trends, or pop music, or anything in life in general. Buckle up.

Doechii

I tried to find someone who’s the size of Chappell. She’s got 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify, was nominated for a couple of Grammys, won “Best Rap Album”. Included in this year’s wishmachine list. Let's go.

John Summit

We need a DJ. I believe it’s going to be someone I've never heard of, not someone like Guetta. So I prompted ChatGPT to give me up and coming, hot DJs who could headline Sziget, similar to Anyma or Fred Again. The first answer was John Summit, and I've never heard of him, so bingo! Ticked the only box I had. Dubbed “the hottest name in dance music” by Rolling Stone and “one of EDM's biggest rising stars” by Variety. This is such a hot take and it’s going to be probably Tiesto from the Wishmachine, but let’s go for it.

Extra hot take: it’s “DJ day”, so it’s a Saturday. Therefore, we need to get Hungarians buy their day ticket. That calls for Azahriah as a subheadliner.

Yungblud

The “who the f**k is he” headliner, the “rock” headliner, the “I was so surprised how great he was” headliner. As I wrote earlier, he could do the gig a bit cheaper as it would be his first ever major EU festival headline spot. Sziget also provided Dua Lipa that opportunity in 2018 with only 2 hit songs. A win-win situation for the artist and a festival that's struggling financially.

And your subheadliner for the day? For the pop-punk-whatever version of Shawn Mendes you need a pop-punk Nelly Furtado. Yes, you guessed it, it’s Avril Lavigne from the 2025 and 2026 Wishmachine. Make sure you bring your worst pair of Converse. Gonna be my favourite day ever.

Gracie Abrams

What do you do when you don’t have enough money for Taylor Swift? You get Sabrina Carpenter. Can’t get her? Olivia Rodrigo. Still nah? Tate McRae. That’s not even the same genre? Am I just randomly listing female singers? Fine, here’s Gracie Abrams, with a cult following among teenage girls and songs with hundreds of millions of streams. Straight from the Wishmachine, nominated for 2 Grammy awards in the past 2 years.

Gorillaz

It’s Gorillaz. There are rumours about a new album. That normally means new tour dates. They'll try to win 30+ people over at least with one day. The subheadliner of the day? Gotta be Lewis Capaldi.

Dua Lipa

Loves Sziget, and Sziget loves her. I needed a 6th name. One kiss of nostalgia is all it takes. She turned up in the past two election years, that must mean something.

Very realistic, but I expect Doechii and Yungblud as subheadliners

With the success of this year, also gaining trust for returning customers. I fully expect the same rule as this year.

Big pop headliners and a dj headliner. Only change could be a big guitar band (foo fighters), instead of a hip hop headliner. As even before he cancelled, ASAP Rocky day was selling the least well.

I ve also tried to make a mock sziget 2026 lineup with chatgpt, and i got a terrible and obviously unrealistic outcome, haha.. u made a nice, interesting and budgetfriendly list. What i really miss here is the real wow factor which is still (but somewhat fading) sziget staple. Honestly sziget never failed to surprised me in a good way and even a seemingly underwhelming lineup turns out to be quite enjoyable..

Its natural for all festivals to go a week later, after 5 or 6 years. It will be a week later.

It was a week later in 2014 as well (Aug 11-18) so definitely not something that's unheard of.

I would love it to be a week later, 20-21-22-23 is off for most people in Hungary due to national holiday, it would be a nice long holiday.

I don't know if we'll get a wow factor to be honest... However, if we end up with a date a week later that could mean they'll get some hot name, like Billie Eilish was (they moved the whole thing for her when a date was already announced, with only one day, but still). I just saw a bunch of unrealistic guesses and just wanted to come up with names that are closer to reality. 😃

But one realistic wow band could be Linkin Park, they are big in Europe, big in Hungary, and their struggles with ticket sales in the US could make them a realistic target. However, they do have an EU tour announced from late May until the very end of June. Usually bands with that schedule don't stick around until late August, but we've seen some examples for that as well. They were included in the wishmachine list as well, so I wouldn't rule them out.

Yeah, the delay in announcing the date must be related to tying down a specific act.

Would be surprised if it was someone like Linkin Park though tbh. I know they're big but not big enough to reschedule a whole festival for!

Makes much more sense to be someone of the calibre of Billie Eilish (again), Foo Fighters or maybe Eminem (or more likely not!)

Its just the way the dates have fallen, nothing to do with acts. Just that festivals will naturally happen a week later.

For example August bank holiday is a week later next year(31st) . Reading August bank holiday, pukkelpop week before that, sziget week before that.

But in that case, they could have announced the dates already

Don’t think that LP will coming back to Europe after June dates.

If there was an option for Hungary, that was probably between Vienna and Munich but at that time, Metallica already booked stadium for two dates.

I see that Hayley Williams is releasing some solo music. I don't know if a tour announcement is also coming soon, but if it will, I think she might show up at Sziget next year (but not as a headliner - as a sub maybe). Anyway, I would prefer her to come with Paramore. 😁 If the band is available during the festival, I think they would headline their day.

    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.

    • Most likely not, keeping an eye on Tixel and Twickets might be the best option.
