2000 Trees 2026

Recommended Posts

Here's a bit of fun - 20 bands I think might be announced tomorrow:

Rise Against, Malevolence, The Story So Far, Nova Twins, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Bilmuri, Mallory Knox, Bad Nerves, Lambrini Girls, Arcane Roots, Marmozets, Idlewild, Los Campesinos!, Rolo Tomassi, Scowl, Ecca Vandal, The Dirty Nil, Pupil Slicer, The Pill, Uninvited

Would they come back after everything that happened the last time they played

Skiba was miserable even before the power cut, rest of the band really got into the vibe of the festival.

They'd play again if the money was right. The had a power failure at Slam Dunk a few years ago and have been back since.

Contrary to some people thinking they're too big now, I do think Trees could just about get them. I don't think it'll happen this year though, they're back in the UK at the end of August.

The organiser blokes thing said that they are just over the price budget now

TSSF would be a great sub or Axiom headliner but their only EU date at the moment is Rock Am Ring/In Park so not sure if they're gonna stick around for a month for Trees. Would love to be wrong on this though as they're one of my favourite bands.

Speaking of Axiom headliners, I thought Bilmuri were a shoe in for this slot at the end of this year.

Would love Turnstile but would be their biggest international headliner by far. I know that they're doing venues the size of Trees headliners but the difference is that they sold those venues out very comfortably no problem and could easily look beyond Trees. That being said I do think that they would be down for it. They clearly enjoyed Trees the years, so much so that they played for 3 consecutive years (18, 19 and 22). They do seem like the kind of band to take a smaller slot at a festival they like. They clearly like working with Outbreak, Glasto and APE/LIDO. Don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for them to headline...also their final UK show is tomorrow in London...and since 2P1P launched every announcement has normality been on a Thursday instead 👀 (except the one on April for this year which was a Wednesday but please ignore this as I want to cope)

I don't think they're necessarily likely, but it seems they're not at Download, Reading or Outbreak, and id be surprised if they're only UK shows next summer were with Tyler the Creator, would be a great get for trees

Could be at R+L though as that might match the current august dates better

Since then he changed his stance to a "maybe"

Maybe he changed his stance because he actually managed to book them and was walking his comments back 👀

To me rise against should be the 2nd or 3rd headliner announcement but that will depend on bands dates and stuff

I honestly wouldn't read that much into it. Could just be that they're announcing Thursday first then Friday in Jan/Feb then Sun later etc. That was the case in 2024.

Worse for me if it's Amyl and the Sniffers. I at least don't mind Rise Against

Would have been fine with Rise Against but their new album is so unfathombly bad that it's made me really not want them. I used to be a massive fan of them years ago but I just think they are sort of mid nowadays even with the regards to their older material. I do think that "mid" describes most 2000trees headliners for me recently. Gaslight is the only one that I have been excited for in the past few years, which is fine but the alternatives recently have also been just as mid or worse. I want more stuff like American Football headlining The Axiom against Frank Carter.
