Yeah two of the members had a child together, don't recall any cancelling

Didn't they just take a break to have a kid? I've never heard any nonce rumours about Marmozets.

My apologies, must be getting confused with another band, i've had a quick squizz on google and nothing is mentioned, seems like their back recording a new album or something too, so could be in for a shout!

@Andre91Malevolence here and Slam Dunk?

Outbreak and Slam Dunk, surely?

The fact that All American Rejects haven't been announced for anything yet might make them more likely for this. They're on the list of about remaining 15 bands that are realistic headliner prospects.

I think James was on the podcast the other week talking about headliners for Trees and made a comment about some being a bit too pop-punk/slam dunky and trying to avoid that.

I can't really explain it, but I think Rise Against / Taking Back Sunday / Alkaline Trio have a bit more of that punk/emo element to them that I'm not sure if AAR have?

Few bits from the podcast / marketing email from Trees:

First band announcement next month

Less than 500 Wednesday tickets left

Over 50 offers out to bands at the moment

There's a band that James has wanted for years that don't really tour often that he's now in good discussion with (could be Arctangent though didn't specify the fest)

Not really big news but there you go

The one not touring often I reckon is AFI.

When you say "first band announcement" do you mean literally one band?

Who knows, was just the phrasing used in the email I had. Would expect at least one headline, a bunch of others and most of Wednesday (unless he holds that back till 4-day tickets have sold out)

Like Chavmeister said he just normally announces whichever bands have signed on the dotted line by then, unless he can't for other tours / contractual reasons

Where has this rumour of Rise Against supporting MCR come from? My mate will be made up.

According to the latest trees podcast, it’s the Mars Volta for all UK tour dates and they are not interested in booking them for their off day.

The opinion the promoter has of the darkness (when talking about the Maiden show) also suggests they will never be booked for 2000 trees.

The mars Volta is an interesting support choice, with some of the song lengths they might only get to play 4! 🤣
