Didn’t greenfield leak pretty much rule out Bad Omens or are they still in contention?

No they can still do Sunday. Playing Thursday and Friday which ends in Switzerland so they are doing Austria first and heading back so I think it works out. The other way round and I'd have said logistically goes against it. Not my choice of sub at all though for LP. MM playing resurrection festival, he'll play more than that and Download have a rich history with them. Provided the FIR pulling out is correct this year, they've had two of their top line bands the last 4 years at least. In 2023 there was 3 but Download did run for a 4th day. They are still awaiting a 4th headliner that day but it wouldn't shock me for LB and MM to be both. Also, none of those options played below sub at Download in those years. Patterns and everything but they are around. So it's a case of MM, I think it'll be Volbeat currently unless Halestorm are around in the end and Bad Opens. MM out of those is definitely the one I'd want but unless RAR still have him to announce on their second line, which I can't see due to both reasons of that would put him below subbing and they removed Pantera before I believe so they likely will get calls to remove MM potentially too

Clutching here, but do you think there’s a chance Falling In Reverse are playing and will announce they’re allowed back in the UK? Then reschedule the tour for shortly after Download?

They must have some hope of being allowed in if they booked that tour, but people on here and else where are adamant the rules will never be relaxed. All quiet since they cancelled on the eve of the tour last December but they did say there’d be an update at some point.

Them being awful aside... Financially doing their own shows would make them buckets loads more money than Download.

I was reading it as Nova Friday, Greenfield Saturday so this is great news.

You're going to get the likes of INK, Trivium, Baby Metal in those 3 equivalent spots, I dont think ATL will quite be there but wouldn't rule it out. Trivium sub if they have really struggled. You're getting no undercard that day if they do as you've basically got a large academy band subbing for a start. I'd rather they had MM on Sunday under LP and just went for a day but it won't happen, probably for the reason that it'll two people around in that time into a ticket for another day too.

All Time Low, a band that sell more tickets than most subs, won't be any lower than that. I can only really see them heading second, and even then, I don't see it.

I don't think they'll be on the lineup at all.

Haven't they just done one bigger date recently, in Wembley Arena.

The tour before was two Brixton dates, right back in 2018 was a few arena dates and they are long past that. They won't sell more now than any of Bad Omens, Volbeat or Marilyn Manson, plus others. No way would they dub though now surely.

They're selling arenas well for an upcoming tour. Including the O2 and one of the big Manchester ones. And selling better than all of those you mentioned.

EDIT: I'll leave Manson out of that. Hard to tell what he could do on a proper big tour.

Right okay, haven't managed to catch everything. So Architects, The Offspring, Papa Roach and I think there were others.

I mentioned that back in 2022, the only top line band of Nova Rock we shared was Volbeat, we didn't actually have a like for like top and it looks possible again. Marilyn Manson, Volbeat and Bad Omens is my current subs guess. Megadeth, Trivium and Electric Callboy are my second stage headliner predictions.

Yeah all them are ruled out.

i think youre spot on with Manson Volbeat Bad Omens as the main subs. Not sure how Manson will go down these days to be honest.

I could see Callboy as either second stage headliners or third on main.

Trivium on Saturday looks very likely. Megadeth all depends on what day they are doing for Rock for People.

I do think we’ll get either a sub or second stage headliner that hasn’t been announced anywhere later in the second announcement like we did with Shinedown. Could be someone like Halestorm as suggested before.

Didn't even remember that tour, thought it was a festival tour but yes you're right. They won't be second stage amd they won't be as low as 3rd so likely now playing and they are also playing Nova Rock on the most unlikely day to appear for Download too.

Having checked those, I'm still not sure Volbeat are going to get the sub. While they are doing a fair sized tour, tickets are still very easy to get and  Birmingham and Nottingham at least....down the road from the festival still comfortably have standing tickets. All of them outsell Trivium though. It's a tossup of whether Megadeth and Volbeat take 3rd down or 3rd main I think.

They’re leaked for the Friday and already announced for Thursday Nova Rock, means they are able to do Sunday at DL.

ATL are bigger than both those bands. They’ll be third or second stage headliner I reckon. Could even see them subbing main if the headliner was Pop Punk.

Given Reform and the Tories are both frothing at the mouth to deport anyone and everyone, I can’t imagine the Home Office will grant a visa to a 'foreign criminal' anytime soon.

I get that but they were third down last time and they’re headlining a fair few festivals in Europe next year so I imagine they’d want a main sub spot. I think Trivium get second stage headliner on the Saturday which will at least give me one band I’d want to see that day before Mickey Mouse takes stage.

Final prediction poster. There’s a few bands I’ve put in but I don’t think they’ll actually be there / in that spot think they’ll be announced at a later date. These being Friday second stage headliner and Sunday second stage sub. Few other bands just thrown is as might be there.

Yeah agree with pretty much all of this. Maybe we’ll get Volbeat headlining 2nd along with Megadeth (They’re Wednesday at RFP so could do any day at Download atm).

Currently thinking below but this is changing daily 😂

Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Electric Callboy, Baby Metal

Megadeth, Killswitch Engage

The Rasmus

Ghost, Halestorm, Motionless In White, Ice Nine Kills

Trivium, The Pretty Reckless

Simple Plan

Linkin Park, Bad Omens, Turnstile, Kublai Khan TX

Volbeat, Three Days Grace

Soft Play

Turnstile defo ones I could see getting announced either first announcement or next year. Think Volbeat main sub to be honest. Pretty Reckless are elsewhere I thought
