Despite thinking these were too expensive I was happy to spend the money, proper once-in-a-lifetime type gig.

 

It was the fact that the closest I ever got in any of the sales was starting from about number 82000 that hampered this one

I think "too expensive" means something different to some people. When I say it, I literally mean it's too expensive. If technology brought Elvis Presley from the dead and the ghost of Colonel Tom Parker made him perform there, it would still be too expensive 🤣

I think my abiding hope is that a few of these acts might pop up for sideshows around the date.

 

Tickles me that GNR have not sold out Villa Park themselves yet, of course. Take a look at Block A3 there - barely a seat sold.
