How do you go about cancelling by the way?

Go to Customer Service and enter the reference number of the ticket you want to cancel.  They'll email you a link to it. Follow the link and at the bottom there's a 'contact us' button where you can choose 'refund' from a drop down menu.  I requested a refund yesterday afternoon; haven't heard back yet but I don't know how long it usually takes

I requested a refund yesterday at about 4 - got a confirmation email this morning at half ten.  Funds returned "to the original source of payment" less the £25 admin fee.

Now that we have got the east CV pass, I have another potential blocker as the person who booked the pass will not be travelling down with me on the Tuesday but will be arriving on the Thursday.

Will I potentially face some pushback getting on as the name on the pass will be different to my admission ticket?

You will be fine, might be an idea to have a photo of their ticket in case they crack down next year. I have never had to show anything other than my campervan pass.

As long as its on display you should just get waved through, I've never seen one get examined before. They just want you in the correct side, and everyone is really happy on your arrival with big waves and smiles.

LOVE the drive into the CV fields

Anyone know why East Quiet is closer to Gate C and the festival itself than East Regular? Would have thought it would be the other way around if you wanted to be in a quiet area. Also, what does quiet actually mean in this context? Are you having to creep around all day or is it just not a place for partying late into the night?

It was initially called East Family, due to it being closer to Gate C for little ones to have a shorter walk. Bizarrely it was renamed East Quiet. From my experience both Quiet and General are very quiet lately at night (apart from the noise drifting from the festival). People wanting to party do so within the festival, then stagger back up the hill to sleep. 🙂

Great, thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear. I was last in the Campervan filed in 2014 and it looks to have changed a bit since then. Panicking that we'd be creeping around like you're in a library. Don't get me wrong, any partying we'll be doing will be inside the festival itself but will inevitably continue to a lesser extent back at the van, and possibly beforehand as a warm up too. We'll of course be respectful to our neighbours but would rather not waste another £25 admin fee by cancelling this and going for East regular having just bagged an East Quiet and cancelled the B&W Showground.

You will be fine, not a lot has changed other than the fields have been renumbered and E22 has been lost to glamping.

There's a get together on the Hill on Tuesday night if you are planning on getting there pre festival. 🙂

Thanks. Yes the plan is to arrive Tuesday morning. We'll have been on the road all of June anyway so will be heading there as it opens up. Is this outside the festival gate C but inside the Campervan Field?

It's in E21, the closest field to Gate C. Spaces in there are reserved for staff, Eavis friends and family and people with Accessible needs. It's also where you will find the Hill of Death. Photos attached, of the campervan fields and the hill from the bottom.

East quiet is actually fairly noisy through the early hours as the prevailing winds send the sounds from the SE corner that way. I find it strangely comforting drifting off to sleep to the serenade of a  demonic fairground!

the mad thing i find is that i always wake up at exactly 6am when the curfew kicks in and the music stops, suddenly its quiet and you can hear birds tweeting away, lovely 🙂

    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
