Pukkelpop 2025

Can you see Nelly Furtado taking Sugababes slot? Or is she too big for the Dance Hall?

I must say that Sugababes was my fav performance of Pukkelpop 2024. Nelly would be a great booking imo.

Think she'd probably want a late afternoon/evening spot on Main but agree she wouldn't be out of place in DH or Marquee. Be great if they got Craig David again as his TS5 set back in 2016 was superb. Had a big crowd that carried on well outside the tent and everyone was really up for it!

QOTSA aside, it's looking like we could be in for a couple of nice co-headliner combinations. Would love to see Chappell followed by Justice and then Charli and Basement Jaxx on the other day. I'm not a fan of Hozier, but appreciate he's a reasonably big name, so stick him on with Vampire Weekend and maybe OATW (to tick the Belgian box) and you've got a pretty strong top end without breaking the bank. My ideal PKP scenario will always be a few biggish bands to headline, rather than a mega name that costs a fortune. Means they can spend more on the rest of the line up and make the other stages as strong as possible.

Wonder who will sub QOTSA? Given the recent history of putting bands who are way past their peak and have previously had lower spots in past visits to Pukkelpop (Cypress Hill, Offspring & Limp Bizkit) I can see it being Papa Roach. Hopefully the stick and bad reviews they got for Offspring and Royal Blood means they'll aim a bit higher and go for someone with a bit more relevance, especially given QOTSA have already cancelled once. Idles could easily pull it off but not sure if they're big enough yet? Can't think of many alternatives who are on tour..

Jack White would be the dream for me, that would be a great combo.

Franz Ferdinand maybe?

Edit: forgot about Rock Werchter leak confirmed by Ken

Within Temptation?

Hopefully some surprises will come but I could expect something like:

- Oscar subbing Charli;

- Vampire Weekend into Chappell + a Saturday dance closer;

- Kings Of Leon and QOTSA co-heading Sunday.

I don't know much about her belgian crowd but here in Italy Nelly Furtado used to be huge, more than Sugababes. She would surely fit PKP.

Jimmywe said in festileaks that Oscar will be in Werchter and Kings Of Leon are in the States during PKP weekend. He also said before that Khruangbin would take a hight slot at PKP Main Stage.

Seeing Reading 1st annouecement there are so mane girls fronted rock-punk bands in the bill (Manequin Pussy, Linda Lindas, Lambrini Girs, Amyl or Pale Waves). I am almost suere that Manequin Pussy will come back after last year cancellation and we will have one ot both between Linda Lindas and Lambrini Girls.

That's all good news

A possible scheme I can imagine:

- Khruangbin, a rapper, Charli XCX;

- Chappell Roan, Hozier, a dance closer;

- Wet Leg, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Prodigy (or Jack White maybe?)

Realistic?

I can’t se Khruangbin accepting being 3rd down at Pukkelpop after subbing Rock Werchter in 2024.

Wet Leg are already at Werchter. Not impossible, but not easy.

If there was any doubt, I suppose that QOTSA is 99.9% sure to be there now.

Bring us Jamie XX and Vampire Weekend... Oh and Will Smith might be fun, depending on where he's on the poster.

I see Will Smith on the Main Stage.

Also Idles are around again and I think they could come.

It probably doesn't mean anything but they only shared stories with wishlists including music and names like Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Eminem, SZA, Stromae and Akushi.

Is it? QOTSA would have to play Pukkelpop, Cabaret and Lowlands (or the other way around) in three days with a strange routing. I‘d say they either dropped out of Pukkelpop or Lowlands.

This year they were announced for the Thursday at Cabaret which allowed them to do all three fests.

The three festivals are relatively close together in the grand scheme of things. The most logical route would be Pukkelpop - CV - Lowlands then the UK but the mileage isn't massive either way. I still think we'll get them on the Sunday.

My predictions:

No QOSTA

No Will Smith

Vampire Weekend and Khruangbin taking sub spots, maybe coheadlining one night

Charlie and Chappel headlining 2 nights

Amelie Lens and Justice closing Main Stage after Charlie and Chappel.

Papa Roach, Nelly Furtado and Idles playing 7pm slots at Main Stage.

So my prediction for Main Stage is:

Nelly/Vampire Weekend/Khruangbin

Papa Roach/Charlie/Justice

Idles/Chappel/Amelie Lens
