So, with Pulp effectively done and dusted sales-wise, anything special to expect for what could get in terms of their show?

It kind of feels they have had their foot on the pedal for the same kind of show since reuniting - but if there is a place to throw caution to the wind, Sheffield may be it...

The big question may be whether they are looking at teasing out or promoting a new album. There has been speculation they are working on something.

Weekend and Friday sold out... well before they usually even make the first announcement. Hopefully this means early announcements are going to be become the norm.

Hopefully this doesn't affect the quality of acts that are still to be announced.  Pulp aside the Friday for me is a little low on acts to see.  Don't get me wrong I'm happy to take that for the Headliners to be Pulp.

Think its a one off from Pulp to be honest

All other Super Struct Festivals announced early as well though so could be the norm.

I think that means that the high sales are Pulp related, rather than being linked to the early announcement.

As evidenced by the seemingly slow sales for Saturday / Sunday day tickets.

Totally get that, but a few decent acts announced earlier gives them a better chance of getting money in with an early sell out. New ownership/investors at Superstruct this year, so I guess only time will tell.

They're looking to be doing better on Sat/Sun than for last year though, where the less popular days were a fair bit lower on sales even at the end e.g. Sat was half empty compared to Fri.

Yeah bang on

Not sure how their other fests are doing - imo they have got some quite good lineups across the board with decent names vs last year which i think is doing most of the heavy lifting.

Im travelling from Hull, not too far but I usually end up missing out on acts I want to see on the Friday due to the travelling then setting up in the accommodation, so the Friday is perfect for me this year.

Travel down without having to worry too much, get in, some time in VIP for a few drinks then see Pulp if theres no one else we fancy, hoping the Hot Chip DJ set is mainstage though.

For line-up perhaps, but really the worst day in Tramlines history was Sunday in 2023. The site was a muddy lake.

I'm shivering just remembering that day (which was also bloody freezing). I had grand hopes of seeing Paul Heaton, but ended up bailing around 5:00 and just going back to my warm, dry, not-muddy hotel room.

I managed about 15 mins of Paul Heaton, and I'm a fan. Then took about an hour and a half to 2 hours to get  c.5 miles home by bus. Thoroughly miserable experience! I think that may be a factor in why they've been front-loading the lineup the last couple of years.

Still had a good day - Courting and Wunderhorse in the tent were excellent.  Plus the rain gave me an excuse to hide in a tent from Kaiser Chiefs.  Glad I stayed to endure the elements as Paul Heaton was fantastic.

Any more rumours for second announcement yet?

Was wondering if we might get a second announcement in the usual first announcement slot, i e. run up to Jan payday. Nothing heard yet though.

New album from Self Esteem in April. Really hoping they might be able to get her for a slot on the Friday. She's booked for one or two other festival dates already.

Self Esteem subbing Pulp would be a great result.  If she is added to the Friday line up hope its not that 2pm 'Special Guest' slot as would be a complete waste.

In 22 looks like she subbed Sigrid on T'Other, but since then she has taken off, so who knows. I think she'd be a great sub for Pulp, but the poster seems to suggest Spiritualized for that, and a special guest TBA. Agree with you, the special guest slot would be a tragedy. She would definitely be worth more than that for a Sheffield audience. Also, she has a headline slot for End of the Road - I know that's a lot smaller, but confirms she can draw a decent sized crowd these days.

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
