There's lots of names I would like it to be, but it's definitely best to keep expectations low.

oh for sure! my expectations are low (my earlier Ed comment aside). what with the substantially smaller line-up this year, and a large allocation of time given to the R1 DJs, I am thinking a lot closer to the Live at Leeds crop. maybe its just the speculator in me that feels like there are some surprises in store

It does feel like the line up is a lot smaller this year. It's still a good line up when viewed as a whole, but there are longer slots for R1 Djs than some of the artists themselves. I don't understand why the artists can't play longer when there are less names on the bill.

The Jamie Webster prediction could definitely be a hitter, because of ties with Liverpool and Sefton Park. However, I also agree- a more 'national' name would be more exciting. Leeds is of course only about 1,5 hours from Liverpool but the turnaround does feel a little tight to be playing two sets within one day.

I'm excited for this weekend nonetheless! Especially for Sam Fender etc

Oh like everyone im going in with a bit of hope that its someone bigger dont get me wrong. I reckon it could be an older singalong song band/artist. Its got to be a crowdpleaser with that length set but who knows

Maybe Kaiser Chiefs

On the flip side, it being in the tent, even that early, means there's surely got to be a limit on the size of act?

Lightning Seeds, Zutons, could be guesses, or Coral if we're moving Wirral-way. Whoever is his guest could easily get that guest slot on Saturday.

In Coventry Tom Grennan brought on a footballer, so it could truly be referencing to that.

Re the secret set; I saw Olivia Rodrigo posted about Tate McRae's London show, so she's over here with no dates.

I'll be really, really delusional.

I feel like if they’d had gotten Olivia they would have put her has Sunday night headliner.

Regarding the latter, absolutely, zero chance. KSI appears to be guesting with Greenan, so perhaps that's one of the secret sets, one of them will be Skye Newman too, likely Introducing Stage.

    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
