Well been off these forums for awhile now but decided to come back now that the festival is so close...

Super happy to see the karaoke tent is back, pretty much there every night murdering soft rock classics in 2023!!!

With the Wednesday day opening will boutique camping be open that day too?

Also, anyone know if there will be lockers? As hated having to carry round my keys and stuff all the while last time

Yes Boutique will be open if that's your thing.

Not sure on lockers, don't use them but maybe ask the boutique crew if they have that facility

Well I've booked it as coming alone and this is basically my holidays

Lockers used to be in the arena but weren't there in 2023 for some reason, so was wondering if they are coming back?

They weren't there in 2024 AFAIK.

Sorry to learn that Mike Peters of The Alarm has passed away - we were very much looking forward to seeing him at BT

Saw him at a festival last year, was in good voice and seemed positive about the treatment he was going for, so a bit of a shock, RIP.

10 days till we land on site, and yes anything better than last year will be good!

It was surprising how well the ground recovered during that half hour window it wasn't lashing it down.

I really felt for the people with mobility issues...saw lots of people in wheelchairs stuck in the mud having to rely on help from strangers (including me I hasten to add) literally carrying them to drier patches. Hopefully that was a one off and we end up with another year where people are moaning about them blowing their noses and it coming out black 2 weeks later from all the dry dirt they had inhaled over the weekend.

TBF the accessibility team did a heroic job in the circumstances, my wife was recovering from ankle surgery and I was blown away by how helpful they were. I really felt for the folks in chairs who couldn’t get around though, even off the off-roaders were struggling.

    • Sadly, the ticket map below screams rear 5 blocks not on sale or never have been on sale. Especially when you look at the blue blocks with rows of unsold tickets.   And I say all of this as a big fan of Muse.
    • Personally, I don't think there will be any changes to the queuing system in place for the 2025 sale.  GFL will be aware that true bots are a risk, but they may also see large collectives of organised folks running multiple devices, containers or profiles to get an advantage as bots themselves, and then struggle to know where to draw the line without penalising folks who are simply more on the ball than others.   They will also be acutely aware that engineering tech to close those gaps will cost, and therefore eat into the money they are able to pass to the Charities, without passing those costs on to punters in the ticket price, which they will be cautious of doing especially after a 2 year break and the inevitable media coverage that will get.   This may all be naive and overly trusting of me though.....
    • went to their album launch show last night at the george tavern. it was fantastic! absolutely roasting in there though
    • I got mine yesterday but they sent the wrong ticket link, so had to email Ticketmaster and get the right one.    As for predictions, hard to see who else could do the Pulp/Sting/Byrne slot other than the Cure, and since they did Isle of Wight they maybe have an FR deal (Sting did both). It’s also the Cure’s 50th next year so imagine they’ll be doing a bigger tour. Pet Shop Boys or Kylie maybe?   Wolf Alice would be a dream. It’ll probably all be men again though.
    • Probably a couple of months yet....last ticket sale announcement was 10th October 2024.
