The middle east has always been a tough neighbourhood with no shortage of natural enemies for Israel.  At times like these it doesn't hurt to remind whoever takes over not to f**k with them.

Ok...just it's a perilous time for Syria...the region needs a stable outcome...and Israel wading in definitely is not going to help with that.

Yeah, it'd be better for Israel just to leave all of the deadly weapons for to get hold of.

Keeping in mind the latest BBC news headline is: Syrian rebels to name Assad officials wanted for torture as fighters say 40 bodies found 🤔

Maybe someone should destroy all of Israel's weapons because they seem to be using them against their neighbours the most.

Well if they did that, Israel would cease to exist.

Given nearly half of all Jews live there, think carefully before suggesting that would be a good thing.

I mean this is always used an excuse...kill them before they kill us etc...but maybe they've pushed that a bit far recently....

I must have missed the bit where the ICC (or the ICJ) actually ruled that Israel had engaged in genocide, because I don't believe it has.

No, it hasn't.

But it probably will...surely you can see that.

There was an argument that they weren't last winter...but that doesn't hold up now...directing people to safe areas and then bombing those areas, limiting aid etc.

I am not against Israel existing, and I understand why they feel to go above and beyond in protecting themselves because of existential threats made by some groups or regimes, because of what has happened in past, and the Oct 7th attacks were horrific, but what they have carried out in last 12 months is abhorrent. A lot of this is Netanyahu and others in his government. I don't wish death on people as a rule, but I want someone to kill Netanyahu. He is a major c**t. Most of the world would likely celebrate too, including many in Israel I expect.

We can't assume they will as it's rightly a high bar, and it's particularly emotive when directed at the Jewish state, given the tragic history of the Jews over the years.

I agree Netanyahu is a c**t, but he's no worse than a lot of other c**t leaders around the world.

I listened to a pretty interesting podcast about him the other day...his whole family thing, the amount of time he spent in the US, and the fact he has been so successful at the same time as being so disliked.
