Surely they won’t clash McFly with Green Day? Feel like that’d be doing them dirty.

Also, where are people finding the stages for the bands? Can’t see it anywhere on the location or artist screen.

Took some time to digest the lineup before commenting, there’s enough to tempt me, but not enough to wow me.

Some odd choices too, Steel Panther and the Darkness look out of place. As most have said I suspect Falling in Reverse will be the missing sub.

It’s a shame Bad Omens aren’t back, but suspect they may support Linkin Park at Wembley then try a huge arena run in autumn/winter 25.

Looking at the line up in the morning.
Not bad actually. It's one of the best from what's currently available for 2025. Just few additions like Knocked Loose, Refused and it would be a great line up. Unfortunately also 0 surprises:/
So far the c
losest thing is Rock am Ring (similar, even bit better for me).

Overall I like the new DW direction. New bands, no more Maiden, Sabbath, Cooper and so on. This is why things like Steel Panther and the Darkness look out of place, and that's a good thing. I think it's too soon for Sleep Token to headline this fest. Remember it was just last year that BMTH headlined it for the first time. This is just to please the new audience they try to appeal to. I would take Deftones instead every day of the week.
Anyway, Solid line up, in line with current trends, and yes, expensive. and the mud...
I have tix for Hellfest and will wait for their line-up before thinking about this one

BMTH were too late, Sleep Token aren't too soon.

They're gonna have to strike whilst the iron is hot if they don't have the old guard to fall back on.

That's 100% only a Friday. I would get a Darkness and Ash ticket somehow instead and save a pot. Not sure Within Temptation have done anything to get the bump up although you could argue they were co-headliners last time maybe....

I wonder just who have they taken from this lineup. I would see no current reason not to add them but I guess bands are held back.

Maiden only played recently so it's not like they are gone.

I'm not overwhelmed by the line-up but there is enough to keep me happy over the weekend. As we can all agree it's the overall experience that makes it worth going.

Just a small point. Was Korn bumped up because MCR pulled out? I'm sure i read that somewhere but not sure if it's legit or not.

Absolutely true from the Sleep Token perspective. Seen then a couple of times, very-very solid, huge in UK and US. They need this, yes!
Download does not though. This move (to me) is just to cement the direction they're on. Imagine this forum next year same time and generally the expectations from DW from now on with this booking. Instead of one legacy act, we'll be expecting  one fresh, emerging act. Anyway, it's better this way

I for one am delighted that Download seems to have shifted to catering more towards the mid 2000's crowd and has essentially become what Reading/Leeds was 15 years ago.

With that initial leak yesterday I was worried that the Sex Pistols were one of the main stage headliners, so I'm equally as delighted to see that they're not!

Who did we manage to find out? Did anyone keep track?

Mainstage

Green Day, Sleep Token, KoRn

Weezer, Bullet, Jimmy Eat World, Don Broco, Spiritbox

Meshuggah, Jinjer, Poppy, Bleed From Within

Orbit Culture, Loathe, Boston Manor, Static Dress, SIM

2nd Stage

Sex Pistols, Darkness, Steel Panther, Within Temptation, Lorna Shore

Airbourne, Jerry Cantrell, Eagles of Death Metal, Filter, The Ghost Inside

Starset, Polaris, Nothing More, Northlane, Alien Ant Farm

CKY, Kim Dracula, Dayseeker, Currents, 7 Hours After Violet, The Scratch, Sophie Lloyd, Southern River Band

Avalanche

McFly are the only logo band confirmed for this stage yet

Dogtooth

Apocalytpica, Cradle of Filth, Sikth appear to be the headliners

Feels like we have about 4 more bands to confirm for MainStage including 1 sub and probably 1 or 2 mid level bands.

2nd Stage is missing one logo act. That could be headliner or sub because the poster puts the first 4 together with the same size logo so at least 1 of that 4 is a sub. Other than that we’re probably only missing 3 or 4 more bands from that stage, likely small acts.

Avalanche is missing 2 headliners and about 10 acts in total.

Dogtooth seems to have all 3 headliners and had 32 acts in total so that stage seems complete. Maybe they squeeze 1 more per day.

So you've got 4 main stage and about 3 second stage to go

The general reaction seems to suggest that although Sleep Token sold a lot of tickets, they aren't people going to Download lol.

The amount of Sleep Token merch at Download last year was second only to Electric Callboy. The facebook users moaning are crying into their Saxon shirts.

To be honest the festival hasn't done a great deal over the vast years to sway away from the idea that's what they should be booking. Some of it is quite an extreme change like the reaction to anywhere like it would be.

Never been to download before but do they offer day tickets or do you have to get a whole weekend because the friday looks insane if this is right but the rest is very meh for me

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
