I only know of Red Josh and Judas with info

No 😅 you said ‘who you exploring for the 3rd second stage headliner’; why only ask about the third when nothing has been said about the other two headliners for that stage is the point I’m making.

I know exactly the point you're making haha. I believe November 12th is what you're looking for

At Download.

Haaaaa.

I’ve scrolled back through the last few pages and the only thing that mentions anything about those two being second stage headliners is you randomly making a comment about it so the conversation is done as far as I’m concerned.

Didn’t someone mention who 2nd stage headliners and subs were by using the letters of the bands name? I’m sure Papa Roach was one with Knocked Loose, Spiritbox & Motionless as the subs don’t know if that person has a source or what.

That was info from a poster with no track record of having info and it doesn’t check out with the three headliners that were given by more than one poster who does have a record of correct info.

Bit of festival maths informing some of this lineup & the info we’ve had from various sources:

The shock of having to choose between Green Day and Refused before they pack it in would freeze me so hard I wouldn't go at all.

I think the Saturday looks best, though Slayer - BO - Korn would be amazing. That Friday is close to pure dog dirt (for me).

Surely Motionless In White are a logo band now? They sold out their UK tour in 2 hours

If Metalcore fans were the majority at Download then they would be, but as of yet they are not. I don't really mean this is a dig at then or anything, it's just they have a niche and don't really appeal beyond that.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see them sub the Second Stage as a logo band but they played that stage last time and absolutely packed it out something crazy so I think they will be on Main this time but there will be other logo bands around bigger than them so I think 4th down would be likely for them. It would still be the highest they’ve ever played at DL.

I think they’re absolutely brilliant so will be really happy for them to show up anywhere.

You're looking in the wrong place then. The fact someone else you would trust more also added to that should tell you I've not just plucked it from thin air.

Also, festival maths wouldn't have allowed that poster to come out like that.

Please point me in the direction of this post because I feel insane going back trying to find it and failing.

Amyl aren't playing 4th down now, definitely switch with JEW of the same day. I definitely think Slayer will take second stage. The reason why bands are prepared to take second stage that would sub is because with the now silyl system in place, subbing is very similar to what would be 3rd down placing and second stage will mean they close and player later than sub, on some cases significantly. The likes of RAR don't have that issue so a sub remains a sub....have a little think.

    • Wednesday is a nice addition imo
    • Kronenberg in a tent as well IIRC but Brooklyn Pilsner was easier to get without queueing and was everywhere across the festival.
    • I think they'll end up doing something due to pressure and bad PR. Maybe they do a discount code for next year or bar credit or something along those lines.    I agree though. I acknowledge that the lineup is huge but surely you can't cancel 33% of the headliners and not reimburse in some way. Their insurance will probably cover their fees for MA, Doja, Bad Gyal and Mac DeMarco due to force majeure.
    • Looks like nothing for weekend ticket holders. You'd expect a goodwill gesture.
    • Enough has been covered about how much of a sh*t show that was, so I'll just say, Massive Attack and it's relationship with this festival (and potentially me) are f**king cursed.    They were announced in 2020 when I first got excited about seeing them. They were subsequently on the poster for 21, 22 and now 26. This time I was in actually in the crowd close to the stage waiting for them twice haha. I give up!
