Can’t help but think turnstile, clashing with download is so brave and going from London to a weekend in Manchester. Hope it works out well for them

If it is Turnstile I hope that doesn't mean they're out of Download. Would be crazy for them to be in Europe and still not book them!

Will it actually change it or just incite it some more? 😂

That is definitely a temptation 😂

Anyway, quick detour of conversation before going back to arguing about Korn again. There's a band on the announcement that will potentially get a more negative reaction than Sleep Token on social media

Falling In Reverse or Thirty Seconds To Mars surely?

My first thought was Falling in Reverse but it seems everyone knows they are playing anyway

Mcfly? 😂

Has this band played Download before?

I don't think McFly would go down badly, Busted when down a storm so if anything people would expect it more. FIR and 30 seconds to mars would go down a lot worse. Maybe even Marilyn Manson.

I was thinking, if Turnstile are headlining, maybe this was done so that they can justify being in the UK for Download and Outbreak?

Yeah possibly. Hope so but not sure Download would share with Outbreak. Not sure if that's happened before though.

Marilyn Manson is definitely a shout...

Someone previously cancelled i.e Marilyn Manson? Brand New?

Also, dying to know whether Turnstile are there

Assuming this is going to be an undercard band. Also don't suppose you're able to say whether Slayer are playing or not?

So it’s a band and not a solo artist? That discounts Machine Gun Kelly and YUNGBLUD.

Can someone just drop the poster already so I can get hyped? The discourse on here atm is dire.

My first guesses were 30 STM or MM. I don't see why FIR would get a bad rep. A heavier rock band at a heavier festival.

I hope it isn’t McFly because Busted one year followed by them is just exactly what Slam Dunk did. Also, Busted get a pass for having a bit of rock cred I feel because of Charlie whereas McFly don’t.

I can get passed Busted but McFly no.

It's not that Korn are bad. They're just uninspiring, and probably in 2025, the smallest headliner download have ever had. I have been at 2010, 14/15/16/17/18/19 2022 and 2023 downloads (11-13 uni years, no money) and if it is GD, ST and Korn as headliners, that is definitely the 3 weakest set in history.

I appreciate that is subjective - but i like all 3 of those bands, so feel it's not from any personal bias. Ive never seen green day so will at least be getting a day ticket for that. but as has been previously mentioned. korn have done nothing to elevate to headline since their last appearance. i feel you can get away with sleep token OR Korn alongside Green day and one other 'premium' act. but both? this will be a low selling event. Download is my second home but I think copping has had his day. if he can't get the bands that european festivals and US festivals get, then move on.

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
    • Out of interest keep seeing messages saying last 12 hours etc… to buy you full weekend tickets.  Whats that about? Do they take them off sale early?
