Has Boardmasters said anything about whether The 1975 might get rolled over to next year?

Did their 50/50 gender split for festivals rule come out after they were announced for this year? If so maybe they would reconsider rolling over if BM didn't have that equality in 2021.

Because an agreement has never been brokered between the festival and her representatives to headline Glastonbury festival.

Why has an agreement never been brokered between the festival and her representatives to headline the festival?

Just checked the thread. Kendrick isn't necessarily out yet. Bilbao saying they are trying to transfer over all the acts, and the announced are the ones confirmed so far. Just because he's not in the first raft of names, doesn't mean he can't be confirmed later eh? They've only announced one headliner (The Killers) so far.

I really hope Kendrick comes back.

I really hope Taylor comes back

I really hope Paul comes back.

But I really think Gaga needs to headline Glasto now...

Gaga would definitely be just about an equal replacement to any of those in terms of my own excitement. I'd still rather Taylor, but Gaga comes pretty damn close.

Ken is hinting PS has more big names to come, and with Bilbao being another festival confirming they are looking to rebook the entire 2020 lineup again, and saying they're still working with artists, gives me hope we may yet have our trio return. The initial source from Ken about Taylor and Kendrick could be just they weren't confirmed immediately. Let's wait and see.

I can’t wait to see how this turns out.

Why the fuck has Lady Gaga not headlined Glastonbury?

The reason why in my mind the ship has sailed with Gaga headlining Glastonbury is because there’s been too many “good times” to book her and it just hasn’t happened. It makes me wonder whether Glasto HQ are really bothered with her or whether Gaga is really that bothered with Glastonbury. She’s not a killers style booking at all.

Hehe quoting me.

I feel like with the release of chromatica it has made me rethink why Gaga has been absent from Glastonbury.

You're wrong. I've just looked at her tour dates and she has never played in Europe over the Glastonbury weekend apart from 2009 when she played. I just think her tour dates have never aligned with the festival.

    • Bit of a rogue one but when Nightwish went on their hiatus a few years ago they didn't rule out doing shows for their 30th anniversary which is next year    Would be a perfect sub for someone like Deftones or even System
    • With 20 euro discount if booked via Revolut too.
    • Yeah, surprisingly no increase from this year
    • its diabolical already 😞 .... The refs should have walked out in solidarity
    • The main problem with these is that noone really predicts the shocks that happen in the early knockouts or quarters, so it inevitably gets to like what I put in the semis (France v Spain and Eng vs Arg). You always end up with 4/6 of the top sides reaching the semis, and this is with me 'predicting' Swiss to beat Portugal.   I think we will see a shock result against a top 5-6 team of an African/Asian side knocking a favourite out, and I can see one of the big guns resting heavily for a 3rd group game and ending up 2nd place in their group, which would throw these whole brackets out of whack.   I think the main interesting thing from the brackets, is that if you're only caring about 'likely' group winners, you have France/Spain/Germany/Belgium/Netherlands (who I'm not convinced top group F, that group seems v exciting to me), all on one side of the bracket. Albeit the other side is England/Brazil/Arg/Portugal, but the European giants do seem weighted towards one half.   'best 3rd place' is very hard to call, I suspect there might be 1 or 2 who get 6 points (tied with 2nd) but are there on goal difference/head to head, while others could be on 3 or even 2 points. I also don't actually know if a bunch of these middle-Eastern teams who I've predicted to finish bottom are that bad. I think the ConCaCaf lot who've qualified partially by virtue of the 3 strongest teams all being hosts probably are 0-1 point teams mostly, but I wonder if there's some near-Asian teams I'm underestimating.   I'm honestly really excited though.
